1979 Jaguar XJ6 up for sale with no reserve due to health issues. I purchased this vehicle in 3/2000 and test drove about 200 miles and found it very solid, no accident history, no smoke, no knocks and everything including A/C worked well. the aftermarket radio did not work.. It shifted nice and the only two things I found wrong was a bad paint job and the brakes were on weak side. I drove it into my garage and we totally reworked the brakes(Master ,slaves, pads) stripped it down and repairs some light rust, gave it DuPont medium graphite grey Metallic BC/CC paint job and replaced both windsheild and rear window gaskets. Interior in good shape carpets in good shape. The door speakers were replaced and oils fluids replaced and was in storrage in my garage since that time (past 14 years) I got it out recently and it would not start but this is no doubt due to old fuel in bad shape in the injector system. I did put a makeshift carburetor on it and it fired up and run fine temporarily,so the system will have to be flushed/cleaned to run. I do have a dual carb and manifold that goes with it if you want to convert. It has some light surface rust on some of the chrome that looks like will polish out and there is a small ding in rr door that can be easily removed by the paintless dent repair people and everything is there, spare tire, jack and tools. I am clearing out my projects and hate to let this car go but am not up to doing any more on it so will let it go to the highest bidder. It is sold as is/where is in Mobile,Al 36605 and you will have to pick it up as I will not ship or deliver. Thanks for looking and bidding.
