Vehicle Detail

OK here is a package deal for a couple of rat rod trucks that does not come up very often. This auction is for two 1937 Plymouth 1/2 ton pickup trucks. Model PT-50. There is no drivetrain in either trucks. Both of these trucks were pulled off a farm in Arkansas. They are rusty however not as severly rusted as one would find if these had been Indiana trucks. The Frames are solid on both trucks. I would say there is enough surviving parts to make one fairly complete truck in so far as the body but enough to make two rat rod trucks as well. I have a good clear title that matches the Plymouth truck data plate on one of the cabs firewall. As the tag can easily be removed and placed on either cab it really does not make much difference which truck you use the title for. Only one of the cabs have the data plate with a serial number. I do not know if there is any other serial number locations but I am sure that if one wanted to make a rat rod out of both trucks one could get a builder title from your state. What you see in the photos is what you get. These are not cherry but then that is what a rat rod is all about. Both of these truck roll easy. I have one set of the exterior door handles for the doors. I have a couple of interior door handles as well. THE MAG WHEELS WILL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH REGULAR STEEL WHEELS WITH JUNK TIRES THAT WILL HOLD AIR. THEY DO NOT GO WITH THE TRUCKS. I just put the mag wheels on so I could roll the truck around for the photos. Other tires were flat but will replace. Most of the fenders, and one bed is just sittin on the truck. They are being held on by just bailing wire. Easy to remove. I think if one were to bring along some tools and a small cutting torch for cutting bolts you could probably dismantle one truck and get both hauled off in one trip with a truck and car trailer. If you want to take one truck, strip parts from the other and leave the rest behind that would be fine with me. I will not sell seperate nor part out. I do not have the time to mess with them. Buy both trucks keep the best parts and sale of the rest to recoup some of your investment. That is what I was planning to do but have decided to work on another project. View the photos and ask questions. Plymouth only made trucks for about 5 years. I believe that 37 was the first year for a regular Plymouth conventional truck. They were made from 37 to 41. I believe Plymouth made a truck based one the car body from about 34/35 to 36. I have the reserve set at $1,200 although I have $1,400 invested in the original purchase and tranportation cost. thanks
