Vehicle Detail
This is an original 1970 Ford F100 Custom with the original 302 V8 2 barrel carb and automatic trans. Rearend is the 9 inch with 3.50 gear ratio. This truck has been sitting for along time in a barn. The engine does run and sounds strong (no knocks) however I have it listed as a project because it will need work to be made roadworthy again. I have driven it around the block several time. The tranny seemed to be OK although I have not had it out running at highway speeds. The odom is showing 59K miles but I have no way of knowing how may miles are on it so figure on at least 159K. The radiator leaks and will need to be recoreed or replaced although I would recore to save the original tanks. Couple of the tires have brand new tubes in them. Vehicle has its share of rust as you can see in the photos so it is not a cherry body but not to bad for an Indiana truck. Some one has already done some work on the cab mounts (see photos) The body lines are straight and nice. The doors open and shut properly. Inside door handle on the drivers side door is broke and will need repaired. This would make a nice project truck to work on or even a nice rat rod/shop truck which is what I had planned to do. You can be the only kid on the block with white wall tires on your truck. Wheels are 15 inch with beauty rings and Ford dog dish hub caps. I have the original fan shroud that will come with the truck. The 302 V8 has the original engine data plate tag on it. Rear tailgate functions properly. Has a bed liner in it. I removed and shot a couple of photos to show the condition of the bed. I have the trim molding for the right fender. It is in good condition. Engine will probably need freshing up as it was blowing a little smoke out of the oil cap on the valve cover. Again this is not a vehicle to get in and drive home with. I would recommend trailering it home. Gas tank should be flushed and some fresh gas put in. View the photos and ask questions before bidding. I plan on posting a short clip on U-tube later today to show the engine running. Will post the link later on. I have a clear title for the truck. Reserve is $575.00 which is what I have in the truck cost alone. thanks Here is the link to a short video on Youtube that shows the engine running. thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G572ZWhk8o On Apr-21-10 at 18:04:17 PDT, seller added the following information:
