Vehicle Detail
1999 Toyota Camry. It has a little over 118k miles on it. Please read the entire advert and carefully review all the photographs prior to bidding. I tried to included everything I could possibly think of regarding the car. 1 Owner since brand new Florida Car. 4 Cylinder, automatic. The car runs and drives great. A/C blows cold AM/FM CD and Cassette stereo (for those who remember what a cassette is). Power Windows, Locks, mirrors and driver’s seat. Tires are good, brakes are good. All maintenance is current, and vehicle needs nothing. Everything works as it should and there are no mechanical issues. Very clean interior, the only real wear is on the driver's side factory floor mat (Pictured). No one ever smoked in the car. Headliner is good. Exterior is in very nice condition with some expected rock chips and scratches here and there, look at the photo of the rear driver’s side door, this is the worst area on the car. These marks are chips from the door of the car that was parked next to it in the garage all its life. They are not “dings” the metal isn’t dented. There has however been touch up paint applied to protect the area. The touch up paint didn’t quite match the rest of the car. The white stuff around the chips is just car wax. The left rear quarter panel was repainted a few years ago. There was a photo copy of a picture that was taken at the time of the accident which I took a picture of and included so you could see that it wasn’t a bad accident. Look at the photos, they have been labeled to show any scratches, chips and dings that are on the car, I think I got all of them, but I may have missed a couple. Belts, hoses and so forth are all in good condition. Car comes with the two factory Keyless entry remote key fobs, but the plastic piece that holds them on a key ring broke off. (Pictured) Car has been garage kept for most of its life. Paint is in good shape and shines nicely. Toyota calls the color of the car "Sandstone"; it just looks kinda tan or beige to me. Car comes with a stack of receipts for maintenance and service that has been done over the years. Some of the more recent work is as follows, receipts for below are also included. TIMING BELT was replaced 02/16/09 WATER PUMP was replaced at the same time as the timing belt. It wasn’t bad, but shop recommended that it be done at the same time. FRONT BRAKES and Rotors 01/05/10 VALVE COVER GASKET 03/01/10 Most recent OIL CHANGE 01/05/10 New TIRES and 4 wheel ALIGNMENT 12/21/09 TRANSMISSION FLUSH 01/05/10 POWER STEERING and COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH and fill 03/11/08 ALTERNATOR was replaced a while ago as well. Have a slew of oil change receipts, didn’t see a need for listing each one. This Camry belongs to friends that leased it new and then bought it when the 3 year lease ended. They both retired last month and bought a new Lincoln to travel with. So, now we’re selling their older car. Yes, just in case someone asks, in my opinion, I would trust this car to go across country and even back again. It really does run and drive quite nicely. It made a trip from Florida to Pittsburg and back last fall without issue. I can’t think of anything else to add. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. This really is a nice dependable car; I don't think that anyone buying it will be the least bit disappointed. Again, please look at all the photographs and/or ask any questions that you would like to have answered. This is the second time this car is on eBay. The woman that won the first auction had a major issue with the paint chips on the rear driver’s side door (pictured in this auction as well) and actually didn’t want the car solely because of these chips. She arrived here, looked at the door, didn’t even look at, unlock, start up or drive the car and just completely went off the deep end over the chips, referring to them as “huge” and “severe” and then left. I personally didn’t think that they were that bad and they were pointed out in the first auction. So, if you are going to become unglued over some scratches on an 11 year old car, ya just may want to re-think buying used and go for a new one. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end via PAYPAL only. The balance is due in CASH ONLY within 7 days of auctions end, or when car is picked up, whichever occurs first. Shipping cost is entirely up to the buyer, but I’ll do what I can on this end to help out. If you live close by (or even if you don’t) you are more than welcome and actually encouraged to check out the car prior to bidding. It lives, as do I, in West Palm Beach Florida. If you want to fly into West Palm Beach and drive the car home, I can pick you up at the airport providing of course that you are not a Serial Killer. For I am not one either and really don’t care to meet one. (Don’t laugh, this was also mentioned by the first winning bidder. Things so very rapidly went downhill from there). The car is for sale locally, (Parked in the yard with a sign in its window) so I guess I do need to reserve the option to end the auction early if need be.
