Vehicle Detail
This is a vehicle for someone who has always wanted a LC and who wants to give this one the love it deserves. The Best Color and Hardest to find Color LC. I love this vehicle and I am selling it only because I need the money. Military move to San Diego from Virginia and losing a ton on my home sale. Purchased in 2003 from a guy in Seattle who provided a good packet of service history. I believe it was a California or Colorado vehicle at one time. The CARFAX will clarify, but I can't remember. The mileage is not 216,000. It shows somewhere between 213,000-223,000, I can verify in the next day or so. Like most Land Cruisers of this time period, the odometer quit working. It stopped about 1500-2000 miles ago. The Trip meter does work, but I have not been keeping a log to know exactly how many miles it has on it. The vehicle runs great and has been my daily work vehicle since 2003. I only put on about 8 miles a day, so it has worked great for me, but now in San Diego I will be needing a more fuel efficient commuter vehicle. I had the exhaust done in 2003 after I purchased it, replaced the power steering pump in 2006, and the clutch in 2008. I have had no other major problems with it, and like I said, it runs great. The choke cable has become loose, but I have never needed to use it. Also, the air conditioner only holds a charge for about 1-2 weeks. I was told by a Pep Boys mechanic that it was leaking at the evaporator coil, but I have not looked into it more. It does blow cold while charged though. The body is in great shape for a vehicle this old, but it does need some work. There is a small dent just behind the right fender, and small surface rust on the right lower portion of the tail gate, above the right rear fender, and around the left aft Land Cruiser emblem above the left fender. The clear coat has been flaking a lot lately. If I were to bring it to the salt air of San Diego, I would want to have the body work and paint done right away, but I can't afford it right now after losing so much on the home sale. If I can't sell the LC I will put it in shed on a friends farm until I can afford to restore it properly. The interior, like the exterior, also needs some work. I purposely did not clean the outside or the inside before I took pictures, so you can see the vehicle at it's worst. I truly love driving this thing more than any other vehicle. I get compliments everywhere it goes, and I know it will be the envy of all the beach community if I do end up keeping it and restoring it. I am a 4 X 4 guy not for the purpose of going 4-wheeling, but it is what I am used to growing up in winter climates. I have not taken this thing out and used its capabilities, and what I saw when I bought it, it hasn't looked like it has been abused before. Like I said, it has just been my work vehicle. I hope this vehicle can make you as happy as it has made me. Shipping is at your own cost, but from my research it cost between $750-$1350 to ship coast to coast. Yakima roof rack in pictures included. On Apr-21-10 at 07:43:06 PDT, seller added the following information:Verified reading on Odometer 0n 20th of April to be 202,499. It failed to turn over to 202,500 and remains stuck. Approx 1500-2000 miles since it got stuck. On Apr-21-10 at 12:07:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Mileage = 202,499 + approx 1500-2000 This is a vehicle for someone who has always wanted a LC and who wants to give this one the love it deserves.
