Vehicle Detail
Here is a true european model Mercedes. You can tell by the headlights. They are rectangular as opposed to round. It also has the fold down back seat which isn't common. It is a tight fit in the backseat, however. There are other little things that denote it as well, but the headlights are the obvious reason. Collectors will care, others won't. I'm selling it because it was a gift from my mom, after she got a raise and bought a new car. It was her daily driver for I'd say 8 years plus. I've used it as a daily driver for the past year and a half. I have a Mustang and a Toyota pickup so as much as I love driving with the top down it just isn't practical anymore. I have the hard top and the stand for it. As far as what's wrong with the car itself,I'd say very little. The a/c needs charging. The heat doesn't blow hot. A mechanic told me that the part it needs costs $80-$150 depending on used or new. And it can be easily installed yourself. i just drove one of my other cars when it was cold and put the top down when it's hot. The odometer recently stopped working. It was titled at 145,000 and stopped at 145,539. I'd estimate another 1,000 or so. The car runs well. It could probably use a tune up. It's ran the same as long as she and I have had it. Mercedes tune ups are just a bit more than your average tune up. It's still a daily driver without one. But it would make this car a better investment. In mint condition this car would be worth over $16,000. It also has the original stereo. The hard top has a faded patch on it too. It's right above the driver's side window. I think it's from being rubbed each time the car was entered. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm selling the car locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. A $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. The rest is due within 5 days. I'm putting $3000 as the opening bid with no reserve. As far as shipping,I suggest looking into professionals. I can drive it to you,but it will mean you pay for gas and lodging and possibly time off work. And I'm not making a trip to any corner of the U.S. Sorry. You're better off with a company anyways. I bought my Mustang off Ebay from someone in Washington. At first I was quoted $1600 then after shopping around I got it delivered for $700. That was cheaper than what it would have cost me in gas and lodging. Not to mention other expenses and 2-3 days on the road. Plus it doesn't add unnecessary miles. Thanks for looking.
