Vehicle Detail

I bought this fastback all stock out of Colorado back in 2004. It's all-steel, no bondo, although it does have a tiny bit of bubbling on one windshield post (see pics), a ding in the hood, misc small scratches and the paint is pretty faded on the roof and read decklid. Honestly, the paint looks a little better in the pics than in real life, but the car is solid. Since I've owned it, I've done the following work: Engine - complete valve job on a 1980 head with bigger valves and ports, ported and polished, cc'd combustion chambers, milled for 9.5:1 compression, Clifford port divider, Yella-Terra hi-lift roller rockers w/pushrods and lifters, Autolite 2-BBl carb modified by KP Carbs on custom adapter, late-model Duraspark electronic distibutor recurved by Reincarnation, MSD 6A ignition control unit, blaster coil and plug wires, Fordsix 6-into-2 ceramic coated headers with custom-welded dual exhaust, aluminum radiator for better cooling. Motor was completely rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago by previous owner. Drivetrain - Rebuilt T5 5-spd from a 1990 5.0 Mustang (199 code), new driveshaft w/Spicer universals, stock shifter handle on Pro-5.0 shifter. I have an 8" rear end for it, it comes with the car if you pick it up, otherwise I might have trouble getting it into the cab for shipment. I would change the gears to 3.40:1, current stock gear is 3.25, and you have to be up over 65 to get any use out of fifth gear. But, it gets 25 mpg on the highway! Suspension - Completely replaced the old suspension with Laurel Mountain's performance kit - stiffer lowering springs front and rear, sway bars front and rear, gas shocks all around, upper and lower A-arms, and all the steering components. Performed the 'shelby drop' modification on the upper A-arm mount for better handling. Also got the Granada disc brake kit from www.discbrakeswap.com , huge difference in braking. Wheel-Vintiques 15x7 Smoothie wheels, four each 4-bolt and four each 5-bolt with Sumitomo 215-70 tires (about 1,500 miles on 'em). I bought the four-bolt wheels before the disc brake swap and 8" read end purchase, now the five-bolts are on the front and four-bolts on the back, I'll ship all eight wheels. Misc. new stuff - NPD wood steering wheel, tach, vacuum gage, battery, alternator, fuel pump, Monte-carlo bar. The car runs excellent, it's not drag strip fast, but with the 5-speed it's a blast to drive around. Check out this website www.fordsix.com all kinds of info and hot rod parts for the 200 6-cylinder, I got a lot of help from these guys. Based on my modifications and feedback from other owners, I think this motor is about 175 hp compared to 120 hp stock. If I kept this car, I would paint it, replace the steering box (steering a little stiff between all new parts and old box), put 3.40 gears in the 8" rear end and install it. I was also going to have the lower end balanced and add a cam to get to 200 hp, but that's for the new owner. Have receipts going back to 1996 thru previous owner.
