Vehicle Detail
This is a 1980 Chevy Malibu Classic 2 door. It is dark blue in color with white vinyl seats and dark blue carpet on the inside. It has been painted with-in the last 3 years and kept inside my shop for 97% of that time except for when I drive it. The body was a rust free body when I bought it in 2006, and remains to be, so no worry's about rusty fenders, rear fenders, or floor boards, there all good. The doors hinges were wore out, so the hinges were worked and a new hinge repair kit was used to repair them, so there are many years of trouble free operation with them. There has been new door, trunk, & hood seals installed on this car. The engine is a 400 cubic inch small block followed by a 700r4 transmission. The engine has new rocker studs, new roller rockers, and a slightly lopie cam, the carb is a 750 cfm Carter AFB. The headers are ceramic coated, there is a true dual exhaust with the correct tranny crossmember. The rear gears are 3.08, this is a great highway cruiser, but fun in town also, as I installed the corvette servo into the tranny. It cherps the tires easy out of second gear. The engine cooling system has been upgraded to a dual electric fan set-up with the thermo switch set to 180, great for the sweltering heat of Oklahoma summers. The A/C pump is there and some of the piping, but no condensor. So the A/C does not work. I have NOS parts for the vent system that includes new ducts, but they are not installed. The wheels are polished slots & tires are 215/50-15s up front and 225/50-15s in the rear. The tires don't have but maybe 500 miles on them. The brakes are good all around, with new disc & pads up front and new shoes in the back. The brakes were bled through very well when the brakes were worked. The interior has white vinyl seats from a 1970 Olds Cutlass that I sold many years ago, they are very comfortable with new foam on the inside. There are white accents throughout the interior as you can see in the photos. The stereo is a DVD/CD player with a built-in 3 inch screen. It is great for when you are chillin' at your favorite cruise spot. The stereo also has an amplifier with plenty of power for the 10" subs in a box in the trunk. There is component speaker system up front with 6X9s in the rear deck. I have tried to cover everything here, I am more than ready to answer any questions you may have about the car. So here we go, I only have a low reserve, so bidding starts at 99 cents. There will be a $500 deposit required with-in three days after the auction and full payment required with-in 10 days. After that, I hate to say it, but the deposit is mine and I relist the car, unless something is worked out between you and me. Thanks for visiting this auction and I hope that you want to make this car a part of your collection. On Apr-22-10 at 04:46:54 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve is $2850.00, many people have asked so here it is.
