1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Body is clean and frame is perfect condition. Car was from Texas untill 2001, Click on the vehicle history report above. The car has a couple small dings/dents but still a very nice looking car. Needs paint and carpet to be perfect 70,000 miles on odometer. Fresh 350 5.7L with 5.0 HO heads. Crank was cut .010/.010. New timing chain, cam, rings, heads recurfaced and rebuilt by a local machine shop. ebay shows the engine as a 4.3L but it originaly had a 5.0L 305 V8. I still have the original numbers matching 5.0L engine if the buyer would like to have it (will need rebuilt). The shocks and coil springs have all recently been replaced. Sway bar links, water pump, new Edelbrock Performer intake, all the lights work inside and out, etc. Interior is in good condition, could use a cleaning but overall it looks good. Needs carpet replaced. Power windows, locks, radio, interior lights, etc work. This is a twenty three year old car and is in very good condition but as with any car of this age it does have it's flaws. Do not expect a show room condition car. Look at the photos before bidding. The tires are fine for short trips or running around town but I wouldn't want to take them on a long trip. The car has new headers that have not been piped into the rest of the exhaust and they should be hooked up before driving the car. Will need some pipe bent at an exhaust shop to finish the exhaust system. Local shops will not touch it because it does not have any catyletic converters on it. The drivers door hinge pins are worn and should be replaced and the glove box latch striker is broken. Cruise control is all there but not hooked up and the A/C system is complete but will probably need charged. You are welcome to come look at the car at anytime before bidding. It's an all around nice car in good condition but could use a little attention. It would be best to haul this car home rather than driving it any distance due to the exhaust, the tires and the over all age of the car. I had planned to keep it but I cannot afford to keep license, inssurance and fix up three of these old cars so this one and probably one other have to go. The car has a clean and clear title in my name, the car is currently registered in the state of Iowa. I have the original window sticker as well as some other papers that originaly came with the car. I require a $200.00 deposit within 48 hours of auctions end and the rest in cash at time of pick up. If you can't follow these simple requirements than please do not bid. I wouldn't do it to you.
