Up for bids is a Mercedes -Benz diesel combo consisting of 1983 240d and a 1982 300d parts car. The 1983 is a four cylinder diesel w123 body sedan.Odometer is 269,255 miles.The exterior color is a repainted blue that is in pretty good shape but has a few bubble rust spots that are rather easily repaired.It has the original hubcaps, however, one is missing.Engine runs smooth but smokes due to it needing new injectors.Could use a tune up but could be driven home. Transmission shifts smooth,too. Steering box needs replaced and can be felt in the steering wheel.Interior is in decent shape but could use a little TLC. No rips or tears in seats but some wear is present. Headliner is in fine shape and sunroof works.Dash has minor cracks. Would make a solid foundation for a biodiesel project. I am including a 1982 300 d as a parts car. The body has quite a few rust holes and the 5 cylinder turbodiesel does not run but it does turn over.I think the main bearings need replaced and It could be revived. Interior is really good in this one.Odometer is 238,822 The interior could be used as a replacement for the 240d and pretty much every part exchanges with the 240d. Tires are ok on both. Both cars are sold as is and it is the responsibility of the buyer to pick up both vehicles within two weeks of the auction end. 1982 300d will need to be towed.A $500 deposit is required and can be paid with paypal.
