Vehicle Detail

65 Bonneville It isn’t very often that you find a rust free car anymore, they’re around, but, you have to hunt to find them. We got lucky and found one in Minnesota. The main reason this car isn’t rusty is that the restoration was done in 1981, the car was then kept in a heated shop until 2009. There is a large note book with photos of the entire restoration, plus two folders full of receipts. This car is put together very well, you would never know it was apart, all the body lines line up as good or better than they did when it was new. When he got it back to the primer stage, he stopped, bought another car and drove the other car. A gentleman bought it still sitting in the same place in his shop last spring, had it painted, finished putting it together then sold it to me, he never said why, but think the economy had something to do with the sale. I bought it to resell as we sell a few each year to support our old car hobby. Please read the rest of the stats, if you have any questions, feel free to call me at 605-770-9263, you will not be disappointed with this car. Drive line: Original engine, 389, 4bbl. carb, engine rebuilt in 81, carb. New at that time, started last spring, runs very good. Trans., original; rear end 2:41 safe-t-track (not original) Single exhaust Body: NO RUST!!! very good, very straight, everything fits like factory, stainless is the best I’ve ever seen, almost perfect!! I believe the bumpers have original chrome, and shine very good, excellent for their age. I believe the glass is all original. Top is original and very good, excellent for it’s age, remember it hasn’t seen the sun or elements since 1981. Boot is original, can almost get it to snap in place now, should when it is warmed up with the sun. Rear pot metal has a few pits, but not real visible until you get very close, good condition. Interior: dash pad is not original, front seat was recovered w/leather inserts(excellent), everything else is original, and nice except for the carpet, which you will want to replace in the near future, looks ok, but is faded, and a couple of small tear, in the corners, really not very visible. Steering wheel has a few cracks, but decent. Rear seat has a few cracks in the leather, but is soft and pliable, no tears, no dry Options: Have build sheet!! elec. seat, windows, antenna(gone), reverb(gone),ps,pb, a/c(missing hoses to the ductwork, have the plastic pieces. Radio is not hooked up, but all the wiring is there for the speakers and front antenna. This car is complete right down to the jack and spare, I installed the wire wheel covers, have the original full covers that will go with the car. I have new trunk side panels and mat installed. More pictures and infromation available upon request. If you are looking or a very good driver, look no further. Call us at 605-770-9263 with any questions!! Will help with shipping if necessary, call about this. Car is listed locally, reserve the right to end auction early. Bid early!! No reserve!! $500 down within 48 hrs., balance due in 7 days, unless other arrangements are made. Thanks for your time. Had a couple of people ask, yes the car came Triple Black from the factory Thanks! The car now has a nice original dash pad. Check the last picture!!
