For Sale here is a one-of-a-kind 1994 Saturn SC-2 Coupe. It is the prototype mule for the Predator from the now defunct Custom Coach of America. Custom Coach was known for aftermarket turbo-charger set-ups and was planning to expand into the kit car market with re-body kits for 1993-1996 Saturn SC-2 coupes. The prototype body panels were designed and made over the course of a year in 2001-2002. Fiberglass molds were created, and in 2002 the prototype panels were fitted to the car. The car made it's debut at the 2002 Kit Car Nationals in Carlisle, PA. The designer was interviewed by two magazines for future artlcles. One of these articles is shown in the photos below. The idea behind the re-body of this particular car was that a mechanically inclined individual could purchase a previously owned Saturn SC-2 coupe at a reasonable price that already has typical creature comforts typical of new cars, which is unlike most kit cars. Then, the individual could have the new Predator panels painted to match the car. In a weekend, the cars' front bumper, fenders, rear quarter panels, trunk and rear bumper could be removed and replaced with the Predator components with simple hand tools. This was unlike any of the existing kits at the time, which required heavy fabrication, welding, and customization. Unfortunately, there was not much serious interest from potential buyers. So, within a years' time the project was abandoned in pursuit of more profitable ventures. Thus, the car sat for 5 years and was then transferred to me for safe keeping, when the cars' designer moved out of state. I have kept the car in my garage since 2007. The car was driven to my house back in 2007, but currently, the car will not start. I have tried several times over the past two years, but I have not been able to devote enough diagnosis time. Most likely, it is fuel related since it sat for so long. If you are interested in the vehicle, please feel free to ask questions.
