Very interesting Soviet-era IZH, built in 1973. These were 350cc two stroke singles with twin exhaust. The design for IZH began before world war II under license from DKW in former east Germany. The design did not change after the relationship between dkw and izh ended. To have one of these motorcycles in 1973 soviet russia, its owner would have been a high official or well connected. These were rare to see even Russia back then. This bike sat in US customs for 10 years until sanctions were lifted against the USSR following the cold war. The owner who imported the bike obtained a CA title and registered it. He rode the bike regularly, entered it into shows and won trophies, while using as his LA daily driver. He eventually stopped riding it and it sat. It would be a wonderful time capsule to bring back to its days of soviet glory. a real bolshevek survivor :) The motorcycle is sold as is, where is, and there are no warranties expressed nor implied. Judge the photos and make your own assessment of the bike's condition, rather than rely on my opinion and/or description. Questions and clarifications are encouraged. These are my personal opinions and description however the photos are the governing condition report for the purpose of deciding whether and how much to bid.
