Vehicle Description Roadster Salon is the largest restorer of Italian cars in the US. Although restoring vintage convertibles is our primary focus, we also are one of the Nation's top independent Fiat dealers. We specialize in late model Abarth, 500X and 124 models. All our cars are fully serviced and certified. Occasionally we are contacted by insurance companies who offer us easily repairable Fiats. This car arrived with minor damage on the rear bumper area. It was expertly restored and has a CLEAN... TITLE. The car comes with a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty. For those of you unfamiliar with the differences between the Abarth version and the standard Fiat 500 model, they are are two completely different breeds. Only the most technically advanced Fiat models have carried the Abarth badge through the years. They have represented the passion of Italian engineers for more than 40 years--who build cars for demanding drivers who want something special. While both cars have the cute "roller skate on wheels" looks, easy manners and efficient design for 4 adults--that is where the similarities end. The standard Fiat 500 is a quaint, efficient little car that's easy to park, and great for city driving. But frankly it is a bit of a yawner for those interested in more spunk. Conversely, the Abarth version can be considered a practical sports car, or a high-performance economy car. Both descriptions seem accurate, and represent a huge upgrade from the basic Fiat 500. The turbocharged Abarth has razor sharp reflexes, a thrilling exhaust note and enough acceleration and braking to hold the attention of the most demanding drivers. They are simply a blast to drive without the penalty of low fuel economy or compromised safety. The hatch back design allows for a deceptive amount of storage, and two medium sized adults can easily fit in the back seats for short trips. The packaging is brilliant. Reliability and fit/finish are also better on the Abarth model than the standard 500. Cosmetic Impressions Feels new inside and out. Wish we had more to comment on, but it is really that nice. No major scratches or dings. Never smoked in, no odors. All options including Beats Audio. NO signs of rough treatment or abuse, just a really nice little car. Mechanical Impressions Properly sorted and serviced. Car has no pending maintenance issues on the horizon, truly a wash and go. Should provide many years of trouble free driving in the future. Driving Impressions As mentioned in our overview, it is hard to imagine another car that combines more fun factor with a semblance of practicality at an affordable price. I can recall several reviews that compare the Abarth's personality to a vest pocket sized Ferrari or Lamborghini. I have personally owned one of these cars since 2013, and have several in our family. Roadster Salon also uses the Abarth model as part of our demo loaner fleet, due to their impeccable reliability. I can attest to their stress free, forgiving nature. When the sport mode button is engaged, the Abarth really comes alive. The five-speed manual transmission is very easy to shift and includes a hill holder feature. Computer mapping increases boost and stiffens settings for more aggressive driving. The brisk acceleration, drama free braking and very precise handling make even the most inexperienced driver feel confident. These cars are just a blast to drive. Market Report Our pricing is near wholesale. Clearly the best combination of price, equipment, low miles and color combination you are likely to find. A wonderful car for the experienced sports car owner who wants something affordable and more practical than a two seat model. The Abarth can also be a great entry level car for the less seasoned driver who plans on buying a harder edged sports car in the future.
