1999 Chevrolet Astro van AWD. Everything underneath mechanically is new in the front end as well as 1400 lb rear springs added new. Both cv front axles new. All steering components new. Front upper and lower control arms new. Rotors brake pads and calipers and brake lines all new. Sway bar end links and bushings new. All 4 shocks new. All 6 body mounts new. Belt tensioner and serpentine belt new. High flow spectre air filter new. PCV valve new. Battery and alternator new. New spark plugs. New head lights. This was a dorm maintanance vehicle at Appalachian state university. Hence the low miles. It had surface rust on all the under side components so I ripped them all out and replaced them. I was going to build a camper van. I found a larger van to work on so I am going to pass this on to another lucky person. Would also make a great work van or daily driver. The van runs perfectly. No shimmies or shakes and the transmission shifts perfectly. It is essentially a new vehicle. I sprayed it with raptor liner. Not a professional job since I didn’t tape off the door jambs all the way. But I was going to finish off the inside anyway so it wouldn’t be seen. The van is perfectly aligned and has no excuses. I will not give this van away since it is AWD and extremely low miles and all the new parts make it like new except for the body. Would make a perfect hunting rig or like I said earlier a camper van. So bid to win or give me a call and make an offer. If you are local come by and drive it. A couple great questions came up. The front end components are moog. The van also had surface rust underneath as well from sitting quite often at the university. I fixed a couple small holes on the underside along the sides in between the wheels. It was primed and of course sprayed with the raptor liner or black undercoat....You can see from one of the photos even the brand new parts on the front end will have a bit of surface contamination even only after a month or two. You will need a battery tray. It was one of the only parts I could not get my hands on. But at least it gives you something to do to it. I may actually build one out of old license plates this week. I will update this and include a photo if I get it done. Also, Heat blows very hot and the A/C ice cold. All systems work as they should. Manual windows and door locks so nothing to go wrong there. no leaks in the doors to the inside. Get in it and drive it anywhere. Why would you pay $10K plus for something else when you can have this for much less and the legendary 4.3 vortec V6 with only 25K miles?On Jan-07-19 at 06:43:06 PST, seller added the following information: The viewers have good eyes....Thanks for the reminders. The box in the picture on the passengers side in the middle console is a brand new fuel filter that you can install at a later time. The one in there now is working just fine. Also the front bumper was left off for more clearance if you went on trail with it.
