What can I say that you can't see in the photos? This is the nicest 1978 GL1000 in the universe. I bought the bike off an elderly couple, the gentleman who bought it originally purchased it locally rode it sparingly until 1998, and then started to show signs of dimensia and stopped riding it. As you know, parking a bike for that long doesn't do it any favors. In putting it back on the road, I had it professionally mechanically restored. The motor and drivetrain were great, but we had to fix a lot. Repairs included:-Replace timing belt and water pumps.-Replace fuel pump and clean out fuel system and tank.-Rebuild and reseal shocks, and front forks.-New tires.-New Battery.-ALL fluids replaced. Paint is absolutely perfect with no chips or cracks. Bags are perfect inside, and honestly I have a hard time beleiving they were ever used. All bright work is beautiful.
