First I want to explain why this truck is salvage to make sure everyone is on the same page. November of 2017 I had this truck detailed and it was in my warehouse with 3 other cars. The craftsman (pro series) air compressor caught on fire and burned down a wall, of course between fireman, hoses and etc. the area was a mess (have pics) and the areas had to stay cleared until the investigation was done. When our insurance adjuster got there she looked at the vehicles from a distance and said they would salvage everything as they did not want to investigate each vehicle. I purchased the truck back from the insurance company, replaced the following: steering shroud - due to discoloration instrument cluster - due to a bad circuit from the temperature. the cowl had lost it's form and was replaced both of the mirrors were melted on the sides and were replaced the radio was replaced due to the damage on the screen driver side visor was also replaced due to smell Repainted the hood and roof due to dents and scratches After getting everything ready it went to a professional detailer who gutted the interior, fumigated it and washed it. Since then I have been driving the truck and smell is 99% gone, i would say it smells better than any truck that has been next to a camp fire. Now about the truck: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab, SLT, 4x4, 48RE automatic transmission, 162k miles, Legendary 5.9L Cummins Diesel engine producing 325 horsepower at 2900 rpm and 610 lb-ft of torque at only 1600 rpm, 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio, this was a Texas vehicle with a clean Carfax (prior to the fire). The truck is in excellent condition, fully serviced, equipped with: Mega Cab Satellite Radio Power Seats Alarm Air Conditioning Power windows Power door locks Remote key-less entry Trip computer Cruise control Steering wheel controls B&W Gooseneck Bed Liner Nerf Bars Tow Package Fog Lights This is the last of the 5.9L Cummins engines installed without all the emission restrictions. The back seat in the Mega cab is amazingly comfortable and spacious. Unlike the Quad Cab, 5 Adults can actually be comfortable in this truck. I changed the following on the truck right before the fire: Oil and filter Fuel Filter Air Filter New Camshaft Position Sensor New AC Compressor Kit New Brakes New Moog Ball Joints New Tie Rod Ends Track Bar Performed an Alignment Cooling System Flush New Thermostat Transmission Service Changed the Front Differential Fluid Changed the Rear Differential Fluid Transfercase Service Retail book on this truck is around 24.5k, salvage is about 20% less so $19k is what I am trying to get. If I cannot sell it for close to 19k I will re-register this truck and drive it for the rest of my life.
