I'm selling my 1969 Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air 4 speed...She was restored back in 2005-2006 but looks as she just came off the showroom floor..The only metal replaced was the lower rear quarter panels, all other metal is original. ...I cannot stress on how amazing this car runs..I would literally drive her to California and back. This isn't a car you will buy and it needs a lot of work. She is finished and ready to go..The carb is tuned perfectly and it shows everytime she fires up without even pumping the gas...The original RUG AE2 Toploader 4 speed shifts beautifully and still has the tag, the shifter is missing the original ball and now has a hurst shifter handle....She stops, and steers perfectly and is aligned just right..No pulling to the left or right when applying the brakes and no floating across the road when driving in a straight line...The clock was working until I noticed last week it had stopped...The rim blow steering wheel doesn't work and she does have cracks, I like that about the car as all my cars have the original steering wheels..To me it just shows that the car is and has been enjoyed and she just wasn't some trailer queen.....I have the Marti Report and original buck tag, but I have no other documentation as people keep asking for it...The car was ordered with every option available for the year. A few have asked did she come factory with A/C which she did not...She does have Vintage air now that works amazingly, if you want to go back factory I do have the original heater box for her..She also has an aftermarket radio, I do have the original to go with her as well....She is original black jade with white interior which is her colors now and are in beautiful condition as the pictures show...The original snorkel is missing off the air cleaner, aftermarket ones are being made and can be bought, I just haven't purchased one for I was looking for an original....The date code on the engine is for October 1968. I cannot see the vin stamping on the back of the engine or head so with that being said I cannot verify the engine is original to the car. According to the 2nd owner who I purchased from all this drivetrain was in the car and he had owned the car for almost 40 years. He bought the car from the original owner whom he had been close friends with..I was also told the mileage of 48k is correct to the car, but once again I cannot verify the block is correct...If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask... .This was not a shady tree mechanic restoration. The pictures do not do the car justice.... She was done by professionals and it shows....You will not be disappointed..
