Vehicle Description The Land Rover Discovery has a huge following, with many buyers preferring it's rugged looks and personality to later versions like the LR3 and LR4. Unfortunately, many of the original Discoveries that remain are in disrepair, rusty, or have very high miles. Others are the less desirable five passenger model, or more basic versions. If you are seriously interested in a quality Discovery that is ready to roll and under warranty, this is the truck. Our particular example spent its...  life in California, so no rust. California title. It is the SE sport version. According to Car Fax, no accidents. It features the full Safari package, with brush bars, rear ladder and step. Dual moon roofs. For the kids, it incorporates a DVD entertainment system with generous rear screen. It has only 92K original miles, and inspected by our service department. A very nice California truck overall in rare condition. Cosmetic Condition No smells or signs of excessive wear on the interior. Paint is shiny, and in very nice condition for the age of car. There are a few minor scratches but nothing significant. No door dings or chips. As the pictures show, truck was well cared for. Seats, carpets and dash look fresh. Nothing to complain about. Tires and wheels in very nice shape. Fifth tire on rear deck and in good shape. Mechanical Condition and Driving Experience No malfunctions on the dash. Engine runs smoothly, and has been checked by our service department. Warranty on drive train comes with the vehicle. On road manners and overall behavior very good. Fresh brakes at all corners. Fully inspected. During our test drive, we noticed nothing in the way of poor economy or burning oil. DVD entertainment system works well. Truck is ready for whatever adventure you may take--be it off road or on the highway. Market value As you may know, there is a wide range of asking prices for these Discovery Sport Utility Vehicles. Primarily this is due to the poor overall condition and maintenance of many being sold. The majority offered in the market are in this category, needing significant reconditioning before being enjoyed. The very few that are not in this condition bring very high dollars, as there is more demand for them than what is generally available. While not perfect, we are very confident in this particular Discovery. Its California history and title, clean Car fax and overall condition make is a rarity. The cost to acquire it, reflects these factors. Regardless, it is still an outstanding value even though the price is near the higher end of the range that they typically trade for.
