Vehicle Detail
1971 Honda CT70 aka "The Bitch". BFE Vintage Motorcycles is a proud sponsor of Vintage Bike Night in Valley Junction (Des Moines) Iowa every summer. When we sponsor a night we sexy it up. Here we have a custom build for what we called "Grocery Getter" night. You had to show up with your 12 pack on the tank bike and prove to us what you could carry! So here is the story of "The Bitch"... Where to start... Lets see.. we picked this bike up as a barn find back in early 2016 along with several others, mainly dirt bikes. We stuck it up in the shed until we were ready to bring it back to its original glory. However, we restore ALOT of CT70's and wanted to do something different and with a little BFE magic. So when it came time to drag it out, we brainstormed a few ideas including making it stock or making it custom. We couldn't make a decision so we let the project sit for a couple of weeks. One night after a few beers I came up with the idea! Now all I had to do was convince Noah, my partner in crime...When I said I wanted to do a "pink" bike he smiled and shook his head. Needless to say he wasn't incredibly enthused. But after going thru the plans of the build he started to get more and more pumped about it. What you see in the pictures above is our version of a universal bike that can be driven by anyone! Here goes a brief summary of what the bike is: We started by adding a brand new powerhouse 125cc aftermarket engine. We opted for a semi automatic 3 speed (no clutch) and wanted it easy to start so we added the electric start. In addition, we wanted to ensure we didn't get stuck in a parking spot so we added reverse! We have never seen a side car on a CT70 so created this nice bolt on that will hold misc groceries, a large cooler or even a pet carrier! We painted the bike Hot Barbie Pink and powder coated the rims. New tires/tubes & bearings all around. The new handlebars and controls make the chrome headlight bucket pop! New exhaust ensures a nice quiet bike and the new shocks and rebuilt front end make it ride well. We added a new seat, tail light bracket, tail light, new fenders, new brake lever and new brakes both front and rear. Cables, reflectors, lighting and charging system, wire harness and battery are all new. We took an original Honda decal set to our graphics guy and came up with "The Bitch" almost stock vinyl. We can remove these decals and install stock Honda decals for $125.00 if the new owner would like. We have had alot of fun on this bike taking it to shows and riding around swap meets but its time to focus on new projects. We entered the bike in the local bike show and won first place! Turns heads everywhere we take it! We can also ship this bike! Please email for a quote. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. Thanks and good luck! On Dec-03-18 at 17:26:59 PST, seller added the following information: I didnt notice it previously but there is one small scratch in the decal on the left side and two small chips in the paint by the headlight bucket on the fork ears. Nothing major but wanted to mention it.
