I purchased it from the estate of the person owning it for most of its life. It has been garage kept and stored away in the winters. It has 38,300 ORIGINAL miles and has been pampered since new. Everything about the car, right down to the stitching in the leather seats, is in beautiful shape. I have the original owner’s manual. This beautiful car has many features available in 1997, such as, traction control, factory dual exhaust, aluminum laced wheels, heated outside mirrors, AM/FM stereo w/ cassette player, automatic headlights w/delay, thick-padded leather interior (and super soft), and chrome accent fender trim. Overall the car is immaculate. The title is clear and has no liens. The title also documents the original mileage. This is an extremely comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional Town Cars…with the tried-and-true reliable (and economical) 4.6 liter engine. The car runs and drives beautifully and I’m sure it would go across country effortlessly. Exterior: The original metallic paint is a beautiful shade of green, which I believe is called Medium Willow. It is brilliant and gorgeous and does not appear to have been resprayed anywhere. The paint reflects the fact it was garage kept. The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly. The wheels are in excellent shape and have very few marks, if any, to speak of. No road rash, and minimal oxidation. The exterior is absolutely gorgeous and is obvious of the care it has received. The underbody is in great shape, with only minor surface scale....no heavy rust of any kind underneath, evident of the fact it was probably never, or rarely, driven in winter. Absolutely rust free everywhere else. The front bumper has some “stains” from bugs that I could not remove with regular wax. Perhaps with the right cleaner/buffer it could be resolved. It is difficult to see in the pictures, and only noticeable in bright light. Any other flaws are minimal and must be viewed up close to see them. Interior: The dove gray interior is stunning, including the most comfortable seats I ever had – very soft, rich, and thickly padded leather, which feel, look, and smell brand new.….and there are NO air fresheners needed in this car! The leather is soft and supple. It was obviously NEVER smoked in. Cigarette lighters were never used. There are no rips, stains or holes anywhere. Same with the carpets, headliner, and sun visors. The 2-tone dash is beautiful. Arm rests are like new….no cracks, etc. The stitching in the seats, right down to the Lincoln insignia embroidery, is like brand new. The power equipment goodies all work, and the A/C still blows cold. Mechanical: The motor purrs like a kitten and is extremely smooth. As mentioned earlier, the motor is the 4.6 V-8 engine which is both economical and reliable. The car appears to have been serviced regularly and pampered. The car does not leak any fluids anywhere. The original Michelin XW4 tires are still in good shape and have plenty of tread. I believe the shocks are still the original ones, including the self-leveling rear suspension, which still works great. The car passed the rigorous PA safety & emissions inspection this Spring and is valid through April 2019. The car tracks straight, steering is tight, and brakes are silk smooth. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show and drive! Since owning it, I’ve put about 1,500 miles without any issues of any kind. Overall: If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full size Lincoln, this one’s for you. The car is gorgeous and gets lots of compliments. I have yet to see another Town Car just like it. This car is so nice, that most people selling on eBay might say the car is “perfect” or “flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there’s never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has 38,300 miles. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. If you get the winning bid and are not completely satisfied upon your physical inspection, you can walk away from the vehicle, less $100 of your deposit (to pay for the cost of having to relist on eBay).
