"Barn Finds" like this I thought went into extinct-en. To be sitting in a backyard here in Los Angeles since 1988 30 years hidden behind a gated backyard - still to be owned by the original owner. I'm astonished to present this 1969 GTO Factory RAM AIR III 400 366HP Automatic ALL Numbers Matchings PHS DOCUMENTED One of 1,274 Ram Air III's Non-Judge Hardtops Original owner purchased here in Los Angeles, Lamerdin Pontiac in Compton, California. He special ordered from the dealer as he wanted a Ram Air but did not like the judge package as well as the hideaways. Factory Verdoro Green with Black Vinyl interior . Fully optioned with Rallye Gauges, Air Conditioning,Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Console, AM/FM Radio with Rear Seat Speaker, Rallye II wheels, Wooden Steering Wheel & Ride & Handling Package. The original owner drove the GTO up until 1988 when he decided to park it. 30 years fast forward, it was found sitting covered behind the gate still with the original owner. The main thing is the drive train. Remains the original complete YZ 400 Ram Air Engine down to the carburetor. He never took it out of the car I was told.Very complete minus the ac pump as he took it off when it stop working. I installed a battery and turn the key - the engine does turn over and is cranking - not frozen. Original heads, transmission, intake & ram air system still attach. Remains 80% of the original paint minus the original passenger door and driver fender. The body has seen better days but its complete. SOLID California floors, rockers, inner wells & underneath. Trunk lid & hood has rust but mostly every part of the actual body needs work. The passenger side door was replaced due to be hit and the rocker took a good hit but frame is fine. The interior dash is all original, never cut or taken apart. All the interior is original. Missing rear seat top, passenger side panel, glass & partial headliner. Whatever is missing, he did not find. NEEDS total restoration but its complete. Does roll and steer, goes into gear & brakes. A nearly impossible find to find a Non Judge Ram Air III 400 being a original owner GOAT. If you looking for a GTO project to restore, don't settle for a basic Goat.
