It has 49,900 original miles and is documented on the title. It is graced with a full vinyl top, beautiful crystal blue paint, bright chrome bumpers and trim, including the optional rallye wheels. Other additional options feature ice cold A/C, power brakes and steering, and limited slip positraction rear axle,... and a powerful 5.7 350 Chevy engine with a Turbo 350 Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. Exterior: The chrome bumpers and stainless trim are very bright and free of pitting. The original vinyl top is very nice and held up well….not faded or cracked. There are no rust bubbles underneath the vinyl, either. The beautiful blue paint still retains a nice shine. There are a few small dings and scratches here and there, but nothing major. Overall the exterior is rust free, and mostly bondo-free, except in a few small areas on the fenders and also on the underside of the passenger door. There is also some bondo in the area behind the left front fender underneath the chrome molding. There is a small dent on this same spot on the chrome molding. The front of this same fender, near the wheel opening, has some minor rust. The pictures show all this. The paint appears to be all original except the rear bumper fillers which were recently replaced. Also the underside of the passenger door previously mentioned was resprayed, but is cannot be seen unless you open the door. The trunk has a small dime-sized spot where it was touched up, due to a tool that fell on the trunk a while back. The front bumper fillers are original and still in good condition. Body panels are straight, no major dings, dents, or scratches to speak of…and does not appear to have had any paint work to my knowledge. Chrome wheels and trim rings are still shiny and free of curb rash. There is some flacking on the thin (aluminum?) belt-line molding around the bottom of the vinyl top, mainly on the driver side and rear window area. There are some scratches near the gas filler area, likely from gas pump nozzles resting against the painted area near the license plate. I say all this at the risk of making the car sound worse than it is. Some of these blemishes are not visible from the pictures. Overall, the exterior is very well preserved, presentable, and reflects the garage-kept history of the car. It is a real head-turner! The pictures don’t do it justice. Interior : The interior still smells like a new car. No evidence of any smoke smell, however there are a few very small burn marks on the seats, but are not very noticeable. You would have to look for them to see. The seats themselves are well preserved and do not have any tears. Carpets are clean and free of wear, as factory floor mats have protected the carpets since new. No fading, stains, rips, tears, or cracks anywhere. Vinyl dash and door panel armrests are like new…no cracks. Headliner does not sag. The interior is very nice and comfortable….like stepping back in time when you sit behind the wheel. All the power equipment works, although the radio is currently inoperable, it could be the radio itself or perhaps just the speaker. At one point someone had aftermarket speakers in the rear, and unfortunately the rear grille area of the package tray has a few small pieces missing. Overall, the interior is very well kept and shows very well for its age. It is 100% original. Underneath: The undercarriage is almost unbelievable considering this car is from the Northeast. Obviously you can see from the pictures it saw very little winter weather. It is very solid underneath, and free of any heavy rust. Mechanical: I had my mechanic “go over” the car to see if anything needed attention. He did not have to do anything other than replace a few burned out bulbs. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. I am unsure how old the tires are, but they appear to be in good condition, as I did not see evidence of any dry rot…..and they hold the road well and are smooth at highway speeds. The Chevy 350 coupled with the Turbo-Hydramatic 350 transmission power this heavy car quite well. Both the engine and transmission are smooth and drive like new. No significant leaks to speak of, if any. Steering is straight and brakes are smooth. A/C still blows cold and was converted to R-134 along with a new compressor. Overall: If you are looking for a great example of the colonnade styling, this one’s for you. The car is beautiful and ready to be driven and shown. It is not “perfect” or “flawless”, but nothing is unless it was rotisserie-restored. As such, this car was never restored, with almost 50,000 miles it has some minor flaws as described above.
