Will get better photos after rain stops. 2002 BMW 530i with only 67,000 miles, subject to rise as I continue to drive. I have looked at Craigslist, Ebay, Autotrader and other sources and cannot find a 530i Sport Package with miles this low. Sport and Premium packages so it sits lower, blacked out trim, "M Sport" options on it, etc. (this is not an "M" as there wasn't a 530 "M", it just has the "M Sport" suspension, steering wheel, etc.)Germany built e39 is in VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION overall. It is the 'grayish blue', not the 'bright blue'. Sticker was over $48,000 when new. This 530i still looks and drives excellent, at a fraction of the price. This was last 5 series before they went far more 'computer oriented'. While this car has computers involved, many of the forums call the e39, "the last of the real BMWs". (I'm sure there are many newer BMW drivers that would disagree.)Always subject to change, but as of today, this is lowest mileage 530i listed within several regions. While you can obviously find one that is lower priced, it might be hard to find one with this level of mileage with the service work done. IF you are interested in an e39, make sure you combine the current condition, service already done and mileage. You will nearly ALWAYS be better off with a low mileage car with good service/maintenance than trying to 'buy on price' alone. As of this morning, there is one being listed with 200K+. These cars/motors can go a LONG time as in searching you will often find them with 200K+ on the odometer.I researched all items that are 'wear/repair issues' with e39 for service period and replaced everything I could find listed through the 100K level, even though less than 67K (at time of this writing). I wanted there to be NO issues going forward.This car drives very tight and has no rattles or noises. It is a quality built car. Sport package drops it and blacks out the trim, so it is still a 'modern' looking BMW and shows well at the BMW car corrall events at IMSA, etc.Cooling system was most often mentioned, so I replaced water pump, thermostat, radiator, reservoir, all hoses, all belts, fan and fan clutch (overkill, but I had it apart anyway). All using BMW or BMW mfr parts. I do not skimp on buying cheap or off brand parts. I was assuming I'd drive the car for another 100K minimum (my explorer has almost 300K if that gives you any indication of how I attempt to maintain vehicles). I have a box with most of the parts taken off, so you can see there were no 'issues' with anything I replaced that I could find. I replaced as a service/precaution/long term hold.Brakes were totally done with NEW BMW rotors and pads. Have been seated per instructions. Car stops like you'd expect a good BMW to stop. Think I have the old pads, but not sure if I kept the rotors or not.There is a gasket between the oil filter adapter and the block that leaks on the straight six. This was pulled off and replaced, with BMW gasket along with rtv on the joint. Pixels on Dash are Perfect. Ribbon replacement for pixels on both dash and for radio display (common issue on e39s and while this one wasn't terrible, it was enough that I spent the money to have both perfect. They state 'lifetime warranty' on the repair since they use an upgraded ribbon. Pictures show the current, excellent display. Satin chrome TRIM RINGS were installed around gauges when I had the ribbon replaced. Gives it a very nice updated look. See photo. (Be sure you look at this issue on any other e39 that you are considering.) Air Bag Replacement, via recall, was completed by Checkered Flag BMW, Virginia Beach. The air bag replacement was due to the Takata Recall via NHTSA and was free of charge. And July 2018 VA Inspection Sticker.Has BMW Sirius module (most recent) (you will need a subscription, but the XM Sirius is controlled and plays through the car's system on a BMW module. There are not many out there with built in Satellite Radio.Has BMW built in bluetooth hands free phone. (Not the wired handset, this is same version as in newer cars.)SPORT package with BBS wheels, blacked out trim, halo headlights, lowered suspension, "M Sport" steering wheel, "M Sport Suspension", etc. PREMIUM woodgrain, leather seats, all in near new condition. Good tires, BMW battery, and all maintenance items have been replaced/completed, air filter, cabin filters, recent oil change, etc. Sirius, dash CD, along with 6 disc Trunk Changer CD, grey leather interior, all power, sunroof, etc. 3.0, straight 6 engine. Clean engine bay. Tiptronic, works as it should. Premium Sound system with DSP. Headlight Washer system, etc. Remote key fob(s). Both NEW Summer AND Winter floor mats. These are the BMW rubber mats that go on top of the carpet floor mats (similar to Weathertech type mats that trap dirt, mud, snow, etc. have both sets for summer and winter). Modifications include: AUX input (BMW part), added brighter/whiter "angel eye" bulbs, that changes the angel eye/halo from a warmer yellow look to the current 'whiter' look. ECS Tuning high quality part. This can be changed back to original BMW bulbs (which I think I may still have) if desired.Headlight lenses are clear and not cloudy. Car has been garaged most of its life. I often keep it on a battery tender. BMW battery installed.Reason for selling is that I'm simply not driving it enough to support keeping. The car was also purchased as a possible car that may have gone to a son in college (another reason I needed there to be NO maintenance issues). The crash rating on the car along with the near 'tank strength feel' of the car made it feel like it was a VERY SAFE car for him. I do not need it for the college purpose at this point however and I'm still driving high mileage explorer! Wife doesn't need as she has company car.Here is an obscure reason for considering this era e39. Sit in it and look over your shoulder out side or rear glass. YOU SEE EVERYTHING. Do that in a newer car and see what you see. They aren't putting 'backup cameras' in cars now just as a marketing ploy. They are putting cameras in because you can't see out the back. Again, this is a good car that starts fast enough, stops on a dime and you have unbelievable visibility out of it.There is NOTHING wrong with this car that I know of, but as with any private sale, car is as is/where is, no warranty stated or implied. While I can't let anyone take it somewhere, you are feel to bring a knowledgeable mechanic with you. NOTE: This is a 'straight 6' which has far fewer maintenance issues, NOT the V8 of the 540. Clean CARFAX and have BMW VIN Chart info. I believe I have original sticker, manual, etc. I'll have to make sure on that one.Price shown above or best offer.
