This 1977 Mercedes 450 SL convertible was bought in southern California and driven there until the previous owner relocated to Decorah Iowa. The car is original lacquer paint and from the heat and sun, shows some cracking in the paint. From ten feet away you do not see any the paint flaws. The car drives like a dream with all of the gauges , lights antenna power windows etc all working. the interior is in excellent condition. looks good. the car has a good soft top and a removable hard top that looks very good and fits well. I noticed the a/c did not blow cold. The previous owner told me that the odometer quit working in may of this year and estimates he drove it another 2000 miles or so. I am selling it miles exempt as it is over ten years old. the speedo and tact work. The deck lid opens and shuts the way it should and the top goes up and down with ease. The previous owner stored in a heated garage when he moved to here to iowa and had the top down mostly when he drove it or parked it etc. the frame look solid along with the floors and trunk pans. the last owner replaced the spare so it is being sold without a spare. as the video shows, the car rides and drives at 65 mph with no play. super fun ride! I just got done over the weekend where I went around 150 miles and had no issues with overheated, knocks, misses , smoke etc. the car get lots of looks and smiles. It will make someone a great Driver. The car comes with a clean numbers matching title. the front euro plate is from my collection, i just threw it on for when i took it on the car cruise this last weekend and does not go with the sale. call me with any questions at all 563 568 5111.
