Fabulous and complete early series 1 Silver Shadow chrome bumper with rare vent windows, "peep mirror" foot rests and many other nice features on this one of a kind classic. IMPORTANT!!! Please don't bid on this car if you do not have the means to pay for it. Don't bid on it "by mistake" and please don't bid on it if you have zero intention of buying it anyway. It costs money and wastes every other legitimate potential bidder/buyer's time. Been in storage for over 25 years! These Shadows were amazing hand built cars! Has superb and beautiful "Thomas Chippendale" style dash and wood trim. This car is the Euro spec version with the 9.1 compression engine and 4 speed Hydramatic transmission. It was never ordered with A/C. Right hand drive of course. Original Lucas headlights and Dynamo etc. Fully rebuilt SU twin fuel pump goes with car. Had to fit a temporary electric pump whilst original was being rebuilt. Windows operate fast smooth and quiet. Power seats and antenna work perfectly. Original "Motorola" radio works nicely. Rare for 1967 rear factory headrests. Interior is superb and original which is probably the most important thing on an old Rolls! Wilton wool carpet and Connoly hide really shows exceptionally well and remarkably preserved. The leather is soft and supple and still smells of leather! Some color fading on the rear seat base. Documentation and condition would suggest the 88,070 miles is original. Engine starts and runs well, no overheating, zero coolant loss, car shifts through all gears. NO BRAKES AT ALL!! This car requires a full service of the hydraulic system amongst other things! The front hydraulic self levelling suspensions is still intact and will function with a service. Most have been disabled, thankfully NOT on this Rolls! It will still be capable of levelling both front and rear once serviced which is a very desirable original feature to retain on the early series Shadow. "Everflex" roof is superb, chrome is 5 out of 10. Corroded front lower valance, very small rust patch on front of rocker and lower rear fender, nothing serious at all. Floor is perfect, trunk is complete and original with battery clamp, plastic battery cover, original soft factory battery cover with spring popper retainers and none missing, a full and perfect Rolls tool kit, hand book, jack, bag etc. All rubber weather stripping is in superb condition. Zero water leaks. Bone dry car inside. Paint is shot but actually looks incredibly unique with its amazing aged and faded appearance! This car requires a limited restoration to work properly. It cannot be driven on the road but does of course drive forward and back. The tires need replacing as does the exhaust. Remember NO BRAKES! Fantastic basis for a restoration. Early Shadows are really gorgeous old cars loved by the purists! I believe they have great future investment potential. Have to sell, I'm relocating, have too many vehicles and not enough time! I've had this car for 5 years but sadly never had the time to get around to it. Buy this car cheaply even if its just to look at it! It's really quaint! But remember, you need to be a VERY competent engineer to work on these Rolls Royce's. They will challenge even the most capable and experience mechanical engineer almost to breaking point BUT the rewards are HUGE! All parts are readily available BUT expect to pay! I have all the paperwork and documentation from when this car was flown yes FLOWN to JFK in 1982 for its excited lady owner who then made the incredible drive back to the West Coast!
