Up for sale is this stunning 2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder with only 24,783 miles. The vehicle is finished with Dayton Grey paint and a black leather interior. This particular exterior color has a ton a pearl or metal flake in it and looks amazing in the sunlight. There is carbon fiber everywhere on this vehicle. It was ordered with every carbon fiber option available from the factory. On the interior, the carbon fiber is on the door handles, door panel arm rest, center console, and around the gauge cluster. It looks absolutely amazing inside and really makes it a special place to spend some time in. The original MSRP of this V10 Spyder was right around $186,000! This R8 was professionally detailed both inside and outside on 08/10/18. In October of 2017, the R8 received a full exterior paint correction and had a ceramic coating applied (Ceramic Pro) to both the paint, wheels, and glass. The coating is expected to last 3-5 years with regular upkeep and still beads water like it was new to this day. I have the vehicle's title in hand and there is no lien/loan against it. This ceramic coating actually applies a very thin layer of glass on top of the paint that makes it more durable against scratches, rock chips, bird droppings, and normal wear/tear. In addition to the durability benefits, it also adds an incredible amount of depth and gloss to the paint (more so than any synthetic sealant or carnauba wax could provide). I will provide the new owner with a small list of appropriate detailing products to use when washing and caring for the car. Never being satisfied with “good enough”, this car received a few performance upgrades to really bring out the best of this V10 engine. From the factory, the R8 V10 makes 525 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Now the engine produces right around 600 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque! Normally it would be very hard to get these kind of gains from a naturally aspirated engine. However, the V10 engine in the R8 is basically a de-tuned version of the V10 found in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560–4. Most of the power increase comes from opening the throttle body blades to a fully open position whereas from the factory they are programmed to only open 80% (estimate). The tune is from a company by the name of APR who have been tuning Audi’s for around two decades. The next thing that needed addressing was the exhaust sound. From the factory, the V10 is extremely muffled and quiet (unless it’s equipped with the performance exhaust). A full titanium Akrapovic variable exhaust system was added to truly bring this engine to life and the sound emitted from the tailpipes is intoxicating. It now has a true high pitched F1 style sound to match the aggressive looks of this car. The best part about this exhaust is that it’s variable. What I mean by that is that there is a button located in the center console that lets you switch the exhaust from quiet to loud. It truly has the best of both worlds now! A few exterior upgrades were also in order and there is one that I recommend to any R8 owner. The most notable and best change would be the front grille. The stock front grille has a huge bar going across the front of it along with a built-in license plate holder which looks downright ugly and ruins the front end. The stock grille was swapped out for a gloss black Audi RS style grille which really complements the already aggressive front end styling and now gives it a menacing look. To match the grille, all of the stock chrome emblems were changed to gloss black. The brake calipers were then painted a subtle orange color to really make them pop. Lastly, the stock wheels were changed to a set of satin black concave style wheels to tie it all together. All in all, I genuinely believe that this is one of the nicest V10 R8’s on the market right now. You can buy this exotic car with the confidence of knowing that you will receive an Audi warranty in case something were to ever go wrong. The cosmetic modifications make the car more aggressive without ruining the original design that has made this car so iconic.
