Vehicle Detail
1968 Suzuki T305 motorcycle, 305cc two-stroke, two cylinder engine, six speed transmission. This rare vintage motorcycle is in original unrestored condition. It sat unused from 1970 until 2018. It is in remarkably good condition for an unrestored motorcycle of this age. The original candy orange paint is in good condition with only a few minor flaws. It has some scuffs and scratches, but there are no dents in the tank or side covers. The inside of the tank is clean and rust-free, it has not been repaired or coated. There is some minor corrosion in various areas on some of the chrome parts. No dents or holes in the mufflers. All of the rubber parts are soft and pliable, including the intake boots, fork bellows, knee pads, hand grips, etc.. It has the original "S" logo handgrips, shift rubber, kick rubber, and fuel cap. The oil injection system is functional and the original air cleaner is intact. I’ve installed a new Yuasa battery (9/2018). All lights and horn work. Spare fuses and optional high altitude jets are still in vinyl pouch behind side cover, the tool kit is missing. I believe the tires are the originals, they are period correct IRC tires and they are in surprisingly good condition with no visible cracking or rot. I’ve replaced the inner tubes. The seat cover is split along the rear seam, but is otherwise in good condition. The speedometer and headlight lens have been replaced with good used parts, the originals were missing when I bought it. The headlight bulb and tail light lens are new aftermarket. The tip of the brake lever is broken off, a NOS replacement is included. I believe all other parts are correct and original. It does not have mirrors or turn signals, they were optional before 1969. Comes with two ignition keys that also fit the steering lock. Actual mileage is unknown. I suspect it’s very low mileage based on the limited history I have on it, but of course I can only guess since the original speedometer was missing. It still has the break-in instructions on the tach. It takes five or six kicks to get it started after sitting, but runs well with no hesitation. It shifts up and down through all gears without any problems. The brakes work well. I have put about 100 miles on it this year without any issues. The bike looks amazing from 20 feet but has small imperfections upon closer inspection. It is ready to ride and be enjoyed as-is or would be a good candidate for an easy restoration. The motorcycle is being sold with a transferable Vermont registration (currently in my name) and a bill of sale. That should be sufficient to get it titled/registered in any state, VT does not issue titles for vehicles this old. I can also obtain a PA title if required, which would take about 3 weeks. The motorcycle is located in Zionsville, PA 18092 and is being offered as-is, where-is with no warranty. I will assist with loading, but any transportation costs are the buyer's responsibility.
