The NX series (125, 250, 650) beginning in 1988 was the Honda Motor Company's first venture into the now huge "adventure" bike genre. Way ahead of their time, all featured electric starting, increased travel and greater ground clearance than standard street bikes. The NX250 is light (260lbs) and flickable, powered by a peppy water-cooled 250cc overhead cam single cylinder engine. The low saddle height and ease of handling make this bike particularly suited to the average-to-shorter rider. This bike has been garaged and well-maintained. The carburetor has just been sonic-cleaned, the battery is fresh, and the air filter is new. The brake fluid has just been changed and the front pads are new. The bike starts easily and runs properly through all the gears; all the electrics and mechanicals work properly. The rear shock is upgraded with one from an SV650 Suzuki. Heated grips and hand guards add comfort and security. Unique to this bike is the rear saddlebag support, hand-crafted by a shop specializing in these mods. Included as spares are a new set of rear brake shoes, a new rear tire, and an oil filter. Used extras include a rear wheel,the original shock, and assorted brake system components.
