Vehicle Detail
I've owned this little gem for about 3 years, and its time to pass it on. They are only original once !!! So if you like original survivors like I do, you will love this one. Its a 1982 Honda ATC70, and I have the original Texas title and owners manual. Notice the dealer sticker on the gas tank matches the dealer name on the title :) Also notice there are NO dents in the tank, not one!! Its over 95% oem factory original: - original seat and seat cover with no holes or tears - original front and rear fenders in great condition, no cracks - original front tire - original wheels with no dents or rash - original paint and decals on the gas tank - original handlebars, controls, grips, and brake lever - EVERY nut and bolt is oem original - original engine, carb, air cleaner, exhaust, axle, etc - original forks and paint - original tool kit under the seat Below is what I have done to it to make it look and ride better: - repainted the wheels - new tubes in the tires - new decals on the rear fender, frame, and pull start (gas tank still has original decals though) - new petcock (but still has original carb) 1982 was the 1st year for the 4 speed transmission, which makes all the difference. The engine is quiet and tight, just like a honda should. It usually fires up 1-2 pulls cold without choke, idles by itself, and purrs like a sewing machine. It shift thru all 4 gears like it should, and rides great. Rear brake works great too. The rear tires were replaced at some point, but the front is original. It has some minor flaws - minor surface rust, small pitting in the chrome, scratches, etc. There are no missing or broken parts. Im the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner bought it for his young son. The very 1st time on it, he couldn't steer it and crashed into there car in the driveway (was going slow in 1st gear), the mom freaked out, and that was the end of his riding days. The front fender is now a little tweaked, not cracked, just not perfectly level anymore, haha. It never bothered me because its not that noticeable, and no major damage. I really hope it finds a good home, so if you dont know what this is, dont buy it. If you looking for something for your kid, dont buy it. It deserves to stay in its current unrestored condition. Im more than happy to answer any questions. I will work with the shipper of your choice, but shipping cost and arrangements will be the responsibility of the new owner.
