UPDATE> Due to a medical emergency Ive been forced to sell my collection, Ive sold all them, this great little car is the last one I have put up for sale because it was my wifes' favorite.. all reasonable offers will be considered, please no low-balls, A really solid 1965 Sprint. According to the Falcon Registry" this is one of 2806 Sprints built. It was a California car then a New Mexico car , rock solid frame, pans and trunk. My friends' father started to restore this car about 15-20 years ago. He completely stripped the car of its interior , engine, transmission and trim, used paint remover and stripped off the paint to bare metal, removed the worn vinyl top, replaced the passenger side door and front fender which were dented, then unfortunately passed away. The car sat since then until his son decided it was time to sell off his fathers' cars. That's all I know about the history of the car. When I got the car it was gutted. the outside door handles had been removed so the vent window was left open so you could reach in to open the door, this caused some surface rust on the floor pans from the occasional rain and snow we get and has been repaired. There is no rust in the torque boxes, rear kick up, trunk or rockers prior owner installed an 80's Mustang 5.0 motor, with edelbrock intake manifold and AOD ( 4 speed overdrive transmission) . I completed the installation with chrome Hi-Po valve covers a "bee hive" air cleaner, correct numbered spark plug wires, new heater core, new water pump and all heater/radiator hoses, new engine and firewall wiring harness trunk mounted electric fuel pump, pertronix distributor and coil, edelbrock 1406 carburetor, Lokar TV cable kit, Lokar throttle cable kit, new aluminum radiator with 2600 CFM electric fan. I installed bucket seats, new carpets, new kick panels, new front door panels and new front/rear armrests, Comet Caliente floor shifter. The Sprint tachometer was lost so I installed a "resto-look" SW tach in the original mounting holes along with new oil pressure/volt and vacuum underdash gauges. I bought a re-pop radio bezel and installed a Retrosound radio in it . All the glass is good, no cracks, windows go up and down fine. Will come with mag rims pictured and used tires not the rally hub caps and new white wall tires as pictured. The original radio bezel and working radio go with the car. The car starts, runs and drives great. 50 PSI oil pressure, no leaks, smoke or knocks. Good dual exhaust system, starts right up and drives fine. The Bad ( if you choose to do so), I decided to drive it "as-is", I liked the patina and the "sweaty" look as do most people who have seen the car, its far from a garage queen but it really does get a lot of attention "as-is". your choice if you want to do a full up resto. Here's what is needed: Needs a headliner, the car had a dried out and splitting white vinyl roof which was removed, there was NO RUST under the vinyl top, the rear seats will need upholstery ( cracked and sun-baked from years of sitting) , comes with new windshield and back lite rubber gaskets which need to be installed, the originals are cracked and dry. The "paint" is just satin black and flat white ( on the roof) sprayed on to inhibit rust and is a "10 footer" . There are some repair spots noted on the drivers side door and quarter. Probably could use door weather stripping, the replacement passenger side door is showing some spider webbing from possible repairs,. I haven't got the Lokar shift arm quite dialed in yet. Sometimes it lines up perfectly with the "D" and other times not so much so you'll just need to adjust it a little get it right on. The prior owner used a Mustang steering wheel with a different turn signal cam so it doesnt cancel the turn signals , but the turn signal work just fine and will cancel with the correct cam. The car comes with 4 Mag rims ( see pic ) with good used tires, and the ones pictured on the car which have brand new white walls. The bumpers are driver quality. I priced the car fairly in as-is condition. The car is solid and can be driven anywhere. Please note the pics of both sides of the space between the trunk floor and the bottom of the rear fender, as you can see, absolutely no rust. I am getting a lot of emails about the transmission. Maybe Ive confused the issue a little so I will try to clear things up. The transmission shifts fine. There is nothing wrong with the tranny, it also shifts into overdrive just fine , the "problem" is the final adjustment of the Lokar shift arm. It has a slot and the shift rod its adjusted up or down in that slot in order to get the geometry correct as the AOD is a 4 speed and the shifter assembly was made for a 3 speed. Sometimes the shifter indicator will line up perfectly with the "D" on the shifter indicator, other times it will go just past it. Its just a matter of getting under the car and moving the shift rod up or down in order to get it right on. there is nothing wrong with the transmission. MAKE OFFER. Fly in drive it home
