Vehicle Detail
No Reserve Auction for 2006 Triumph Sprint 1050 ST ABS with factory hard bags. 57,250 miles I’m the second owner of this Sprint ST. I bought it (on eBay) in 2008. Since then I’ve covered many miles and had so much fun on it. It provides a great blend of sporty performance with enough comfort for longer rides. This bike comes with original factory color-matched hard bags. It’s in good condition and has never been crashed. This bike’s had plenty of use so there are a few minor chips and scratches - stuff that’s typical for the age and mileage. They don’t show in the photos so I mention it to give an honest description. One hard bag has some scrapes on one corner (looks like previous owner dropped the bag). The mileage is high but that shouldn’t be a concern - these bikes are solid. I’ve taken good care of this one and it's had regular and thorough maintenance. It runs better than the day I bought it and doesn’t use a drop of oil between changes. Over the years I’ve made changes to improve the bike. Brake mods provide strong consistent braking. The TOR exhaust provides a little extra power and a nice sound. I invested in some dyno time to have fuel injection remapped specifically for that TOR exhaust. As a result, this bike pull cleanly and runs sweet and smooth throughout the whole rpm range. Suspension has been upgraded by fitting new springs with damping changed to suit. I also did a complete upgrade of electrics and made several other mods to improve reliability or add convenience. Modification and Improvements: Brakes: front calipers fitted with Daytona coated pistons and EBC pads. Master cylinder has been changed to 5/8” MC as fitted to later models and Triumph accessory anodized reservoir fittedElectrics: Numerous upgrades include FH016AA MOSFET type regulator and Ricks Stator. Headlight wiring has been upgraded. FIAMM horns, voltage monitor, digital thermometer, 12V outlet added in stowage box for phone chargeThe complete wiring system has been revised to use two Rowe Electronics programmable solid state PDM modules in place of the original fuseblock. Wiring reconfigured to provide additional functionality/convenienceKeyless Ignition: no more fumbling around looking for the key - bike can be started so long as the remote is in your pocket (with key attached for opening gas cap). Original key switch still in place – could be used as backup if there is ever a problem with the keyless systemStarter: heavy-duty cables have been added for battery, starter and ground. The starter Sprag Clutch/Gear have been replaced with the newer, stronger parts used on later SprintsSuspension: has been reconfigured with new fork springs, RaceTech Gold Valves and custom shim stack. The rear shock has been rebuilt using RaceTech Gold Valves and a preload spacer added to the existing springExhaust: is a Triumph TOR exhaust (non-cat). It has a nice mellow growl without being loud. Fuel injection has been dyno re-mapped to suitCruise Control: BrakeAway throttle lock fitted for cruise control. It disengages immediately when the front brake lever is pulled or release button pressedBodywork: lower fairing panels replaced with later style panels that have a larger vent for improved airflow. Powerbronze fiberglass hugger/chain guardSeat: improved by Sargent foam upgradeRear Drag link replaced by Triumph under October 2009 safety recall I’ve carried out recent maintenance so that a new owner can ride without having to worry about maintenance for a while:Tires –new Michelin PR4s just fitted front and rearValve clearances checked (no adjustment necessary)Throttles balancedNew air filterOil and filter changeReplaced coolantFitted new pads to rear brake.Replaced brake fluid and bled ABS system Chain and Sprockets: should be good for another 9,000 based on previous replacement. The rear hub was overhauled with new bearings throughout at 40K mikes. This bike has a clear IN title and comes with spare key, original tool kit and Owner’s Manual. I would prefer you to come pick up the bike so you can give see it and be happy with the deal before you take it away. If that doesn't work for you then please arrange your own shipping. I will work with you on that but it’s entirely your responsibility. Payment: Full payment required before collection and no later than 7 days after auction close. Other Accessories: I have some accessories that are not included. I have a Triumph rear rack (without the sliding base) and a Bags Connection quick release expandable tank bag. I will offer them to the successful bidder at a low price. No obligation – if you’re not interested then no problem. On Sep-03-18 at 19:11:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction to listing: rear hub bearings replaced at 49K miles not 40K as originally listed.
