So heres a fun one. its a hippie time machine. just look at the stickers on this thing. grateful dead, phish, dave matthews. theres a "mean people suck" sticker under the house paint. someone even painted "god bless jerry garcia" at the top of the decklid in black paint. you can BARELY see it but its there! what has me baffled is the front fenders and the front bumper. they look like later mexican. is this car a grey market that has been titled as a 74? or did someone just add those parts? the paint under the house paint looks good as near as i can tell. its Ravenna green, a shade ive never seen before. someone emailed me saying "The original color indicates that this is a special edition Love Bug." it does have some rust on the body, not much though. the pans do look good as far as i can tell. and the front seats were changed out to lowbacks. there is no rear seat but its all finished out back there and looks pretty good.chrome wheels all the way around, a nice shifter and a lecarra steering wheel. theres lots of chrome all over the engine but chrome dont get ya home and this one is definitely not going to get you home. i was told the cam is broken. rebuildable? prolly in the right hands. 3 of the tires are flat. any questions, ask. want more pictures, ask. need to come take look, do it. want to send an independent inspector, go for it.
