This auction is for my 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom bike. It is in excellent condition with 35,386 miles currently. Mileage may increase since I am still riding the bike. But due to age issues, I’ve reluctantly decided to get out of motorcycling. That’s the only reason I’m selling the bike. It is a very rare bike since it was produced for only one year. It is also especially unusual since it is a 10-speed bike with a Hi/Lo shifter—5 Lo speeds and 5 Hi speeds. This dual range transmission was also designed for the 1980-1982 Honda CB900 Custom bikes. After 1983, Honda went to a six speed transmission. It is also a shaft drive. So no need to fuss with a chain. I’ve owned it a couple years now. During that time I did a lot of work on it, including rebuilding the carburetors, installing a very nice condition Vetter Windjammer fairing with Fiamm horns, installing vintage Bates saddlebags, replacing the choke cable and fuel petcock, adding a Hondaline crash bar, and buying the stock headlight with mounting brackets, Hi/lo horns, and front and rear turn signals in case you want to return the bike to its original stock configuration. A tank bag will also be included.
