Vehicle Detail

For Sale 1966 Pontiac GTO, 4 spd., color is Burgundy Pearl, with black interior, engine is a 400 out of a ’68 or ’69 Pontiac Catalina that was aligned honed and bored out 30 over, Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock manifold, new aluminum radiator. Car has about $5,000 on rebuild and is in excellent condition. Needs a bit of work. One rust spot on the left rear above left turn signal, repair in progress but I haven’t sanded the touch-up paint yet. Car was repainted 10 yrs ago in burgundy Pear and I do have the correct touch-up paint and still a little remaining in the original paint can. The carburetor does go dry if you don’t drive the car or start it up once a week or so, just prime it and it fires right up, once running again. Some small wear on body and interior. Manual transmission, brakes and steering. On Aug-21-18 at 08:39:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Wanted to say that there is about 5,000 miles on the engine rebuild, not $5,000. Engine has a Baja Beast Crower Cam in it that gives the engine much power and runs great. Have many extra parts including trim.On Aug-22-18 at 20:18:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Added some more photos per a request today 8/22/18. Today I unpacked the trunk which is full of extra parts and noticed a little surface rust in the trunk, but it is not bad, must be due to a little moisture left over from winter storage. One of the reasons I bought this car some 10 or 15 years ago is that the floor pans and trunk pan was in excellent condition and still is considering its age, no significant rust at all, in pretty good shape. Undercarriage shows no rust, still complete and strong. Also I replaced the gas tank about10 years ago with a new one, new neck also. Car gets about 10 miles a gallon, but that is what a GTO will do. My first GTO in 1970 did that too, but gas was .25 a gallon. :-) I have the original radio, but the old reverb set behind back seat is toast. Upholstery of course was replaced 10 years ago with Year One stuff and is still fine today, no rips or significant wear. I think the car needs to have power disk brakes, a new column and power steering, but don't want to spend the money. There is nothing wrong with the manual stuff it's got. I'm moving on to other hobbies. I love this car but I'm getting older now and don't go to the car shows much anymore, etc..
