1968 Ford Mustang Fastback Before I start the description, I would like to say we are relisting this car due to a non-paying winning bid. If you do not have the money or do not plan to pay for this car, PLEASE DO NOT BID! It costs me money every time the winner does not fulfill his/her obligation! This car was originally a 6 cylinder. The body is plain with no badges, but under the hood is a 351 Cleveland out of a 1970 Mach I with 62,000 miles. It has a 1969 Mach I C-4 transmission. Everything under the hood has been replaced or rebuilt. The carburetor was original to the 351 Cleveland motor so it was sent to Carbs & More in Texas to be refurbished and powder coated. It is absolutely perfect. The car starts without touching anything but the key. The car was in the same family for over 30 years being passed from one brother to the next. Each one did something to the car. One brother replaced the quarter panels, fenders, trunk lid and trunk drop offs. One of the headlight buckets is new. The body is not show quality but is still nice. The chrome came on the car. Some is original and some is aftermarket so it does not fit perfectly. Please look at the pictures. The body is solid. The paint is probably a 7 out of 10 but nice with only a couple of road chips or dents. All the glass is original to the car and in good shape. The rear glass has some scratches. The doors open and close good. All gauges work, but the oil gauge sticks. I have a new one that I will include with the car. The cowl does leak and there is a pin hole on the left side of the rear rail close to the front. Both front fenders and valance as well as the rear fender extensions and valance are molded to the body. Following is what I have done to the car. Very nice and loud. Sounds great. · Front and rear floor pans have been replaced · Prior patchwork done to the rear frame but very solid. · New torque boxes and one front frame rail · Rear end and front suspension from a 1968 Mustang V8 coupe · New gas tank, sending unit, gas lines and gas cap · New wiper blades · New lights and respective chrome · New door handles and locks · New mirrors inside and outside Interior Replaced/Refurbished · New headliner and visors · New dash · New carpet · New seat covers · New door panels · New kick panels · All of the rear interior panels are original to the car · New door seals · New arm rests · New inside door handles · New trunk mat · New window felt · New dash bezel · New steering wheel · Rebuilt 1968 Ford Mustang AM/FM radio with new speakers. It works and sounds good. · New heater coil · Rebuilt heater box · New cables · New light switch · New dimmer switch · New rear view mirror · New shifter bezel The car did not come with the fold down seat, but I had one installed. I am still missing a few pieces like the rubber stoppers. Just a reminder, the car is 50 years old. It is not perfect, but it runs well.
