1963 Nova SS convertible . True SS car, not a clone. decode the cowl tag A real survivor that has had one new top and one cheap repaint before I purchased it in 2011. I bought it as a driver and it still is. We have driven this car plenty over the past 7 years. Plans change and I don't see a complete resto in the future. Had a great time with it but its time to let it go !! The original 194 inline 6 still runs great ( has developed a lil smokey idle ) and the air cooled aluminum PowerGlide transmission still shifts nice and firm. Since Ive had it , ive replaced carb with OEM replacement. ( still have original)replaced points distributor with HEI for dependability. ( still have original ) Brake lines and fuel lines have been replaced along with fuel tank. Body does have some issues for the age of the car . Both rear quarters will need lower sections replaced. Reskin or replace both doors. Floors have 1 bad spot behind driver seat. Rocker boxes are solid. Look at the pics, no convertible would sit like this with rotten rocker boxes.
