This is the real deal, a matching number L78 SS396 375hp. This engine package came with front disc brakes. The car was painted by previous owner 15 years ago with lacquer Hugger Orange, paint code is 72 72. The car has been in covered storage and the paint is still presentable. Car has 5 original SS wheels. It is a California car which came with black plates & a copy of the CA title, however, title & plates have been misplaced. No rust or corrosion on the frame. Engine was bored 40 over to specs by previous owner. Runs strong. The power steering box was changed to a '72 Firebird 2.5:1 ratio. Has new gauge cluster, new brakes and shocks. Drive shaft was balanced. As far as I know the turbo 400 does not match but it is period and correct, same with rear end. Rear end is 12 bolt positrac with 3:73 gears. 2 new rear axles. Car is super straight. Also comes with 4 Centerline Drag Pro polish aluminum 15" wheels. The frame rails are the straightest I've seen.
