Ok I got this from a friend of mine who had it restored....I have hand written receipts from the gentleman who rebuilt the motor and tranny . The receipts even show a new crank ordered from Germany!! It has about 400 miles on the rebuild...New tires all around..Has Mikuni Flat side carbs instead of the factory Bings...Starts right up and purrs like a kitten...The sidecar has what I think is a home made seat back but I can't be sure because I have never seen a Royal sidecar before...One cool thing is it has a knockoff wheel on it.. I did my usual thing and did research on middle 60's BMW's and " Butterheads" I replaced the original heads with a set of rebuilt LK long reach heads which set me back about 1200 bucks once the dust settled..They have about 100 miles on them and I would check the head bolts and valves in a couple hundred miles...So, long story short, it should be completely sorted out and good for years of riding enjoyment.. Last weekend I had it purring down the interstate at 60. ...As far as the sidecar goes it tracks great...Does not pull...I don't know if it gets much better for a BMW sidecar rig..( I have the bumper that goes on the front of the sidecar and will include it in the sale..) The reason I'm selling is that I need a truck and need to have my priorities in order..Thanks and good luck ! Oh, clean Nebraska title in my name...
