My son borrowed this truck almost three years ago (at 105K miles) to bring his snake tanks and other belongings to SB and I told my wife that we would probably never see the truck again. LOL. I have more than 20 vehicles registered in multiple states and although I do feel the absence of this super truck, I have more Excursion transportation (4 Excursion Trucks Alone) than I need right now. My son is a customer service manager at Perry Ford of Santa Barbara and is an avid (rice rocket) biker and doesn't need the truck and has been asking me to come to SOCAL for a visit and drive it back to my NY home, but as usual, there is no time for vacation. For insurance sake we kept this vehicle in my name and never registered it in CA. You should check CA laws but I don't see why it would be an issue registering a diesel with this kind of mileage in CA. I also have a beautiful black exterior on ash black interior 2009 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew in Santa Monica that I purchased new from (TC) of Galpin Ford. It now has 85K miles on it with a Premium Ford ESP warranty to 135K or 2021 and man, many extras that I will be listing as soon as I purchase a new vehicle for my daughter to replace her F-150. The bumper to bumper ESP warranty has since expired but the crate transmission Perry Ford of Santa Barbara installed has a warranty that is still in force. The 4" Turbo Back, Single Side Exhaust is in good condition and is a MBRP system. I just confirmed with the mechanic that the studs are ARP. The programmer was placed after the original ESP warranty expired as it would have been too risky to void coverage, or risk an insurance (warranty) claim being voided for materially misrepresenting facts, which can also be prosecuted as a fraudulent insurance claim. I'm in the P&C insurance industry and can tell you that an auto warranty is an "insurance policy" which is governed by state insurance agencies and aided and monitored by the NICB for fraudulent claims practices. Always be careful what you claim!! The Michelin tires and the 20 inch wheels came off a brand new 2018 F-250 Platinum before delivery, which required me to purchase the stronger solid steel (not billet aluminum) wheel adapters with grade 10 bolts in order to fit the rims to the excursion. Whatever comes on the F-250 / 350 is the tire size. I paid $1,600 for the wheels and tires and $360 for the adapters . I will post the invoices and photos of the adapters later tonight. My son advised me that the truck has bit taller and much better ride than the stock Ford wheels and rims. I don't know what tires were on the truck prior to my purchase that required a 4" lift and the Ohio dealer also had no information. I will post a photo of the door sticker tonight.
