Vehicle Detail
1987 Toyota MR2 Supercharged (4AGZE) RHD AW11Hardtop5 speed manual112K miles (180K kilometers)VIN AW110113186Clear Ohio title This is a Japanese market right-hand drive car - hardtop supercharged AW11 MR2s were never offered in the US (all USDM SC cars had T-tops). The engine/mechanical parts are common with US cars. No maintenance records before I purchased it last year.I have replaced the oil and filter and flushed/bled the brakes since I bought it.Overall in very good condition mechanically - starts and runs well when hot or cold.Strong clutchTransmission is in very good condition...some synchro wear consistent with the mileage, but it shifts smoothly in all gearsClutch-type limited slip differentialSupercharger oil is clear/cleanStock supercharger pulley Belts are in good conditionExhaust is in good condition...no rusty holes or leaky flangesNew battery with conventional US-style battery posts installed in January this yearIgnition components all fresh, and car revs to redline with no misses or issuesA/C does not work, and the compressor is not present Brakes are in very good condition - plenty of pad thickness, rotors are straight with no grooving or scoring Coilover suspension with adjustable ride height and adjustable dampers. Good ride quality, just slightly lower than stock. Wheels are JNC018 15x7 offset 35 with less than 2000 miles, no scuffs or rashTires are 205/50/15 RE-71R, they were used when I got them and they are nearly worn out with little tread left. I would be confident driving the car a long distance, although you would have to be cautious in heavy rain due to the tires. Body/exterior is in good conditionNo rust on rear quarter panels, which is a common weak point for these cars. There is some rust in the front trunk/spare tire area. It appears that brake fluid was allowed to spill down into that area and may have contributed to some paint damage/rust. There was also some amateur repair done to the left side front air dam/lower lip by previous owner...only noticeable up close.Paint is in good condition - it was re-sprayed recentlyGlass is in excellent condition - no cracksHeadlights go up and down, all lights workPower mirror adjusters do not work, but they are easy to adjust manually Interior could use some attention, depending on what you want to do with itAll gauges and switches workElectric windows go up and downSeats, headliner, carpet are in good condition, no tearsNew floormatsDash is intact but has some damage to the vinyl on the left/passenger sideNo radioLeft side (passenger side) door card has some damage/cracks. Driver's side is in very good condition.Aftermarket steering wheel This is a very unique supercharged AW11 in good condition - I doubt there is another one like it in the US! It's a great little nice-day car, autocrosser/track car, or just drive it to cars and coffee on the weekend and let everyone check it out! I have 2 other cars, young kids with hobbies, and just do not have time to drive it anymore.
