This loaded Audi A4 Quattro has been my son's everyday transportation for the last 6 1/2 years. On May the 4th, while on his way home from summer classes, the oil pump stopped working and a cam on the driver's side seized up. It wasn't due to lack of oil, as we have always run Mobil 1 in the engine, it was simply an unfortunate mechanical breakdown. Since we do not have time to replace the engine, I have already purchased another vehicle for my son to drive so that he can make it to classes and work. This is an ideal opportunity for a mechanic to swap in a good engine from a wrecked vehicle and put this car back on the road to flip or keep for personal use. They are readily available, and many of them are listed right here on eBay. The air conditioning system was completely replaced last October at the same time that the water pump, new idler bearings and timing belt service was performed. This cost about $2,000 total, and I can supply the records to support that this work was done. The transmission works great and the vehicle is in pretty good overall condition for it's age. The tires have plenty of tread left on them and I have an extra like new matching tire that I will throw in with the vehicle, in addition to the full size spare. It has upgraded Focal high end speakers installed along with a quality 4 channel amplifier.
