Vehicle Detail

She has 60000 miles because she has been well loved, I am the third owner and knew the second owner personally. I bought her in New York and brought her to Hawaii with me. She has been well maintained, 60k maintenance completely successfully, near new rear tires and all 4 wheels have new brakes. She has a little bit of sun damage from living in Hawaii (where there is not nearly enough covered parking) but no damage beyond cosmetic/the clear coat. Unfortunately, the only reason I am selling her is because I got married and now have two kids and a wonderful house in Belfair. My interests have moved on, I've owned her for 5 years and she has served me well, I rebuilt her transmission in 2015 and she has never skipped a beat. Hopefully she could be sold to a lotus lover or enthusiast that is looking for something to make their own. I want to stress that being all three owner's daily drivers and being ten years old has adorned her with more than a little bit of wear and tear, but I can attest that there is nothing structurally or mechanically wrong with her. That number that I posted is just a number you can come see her and drive her around if you want, and then make me an offer. I am not going to pretend that she is showroom quality, but hopefully her 4th owner could bring her back up to her showroom beauty. I wish I could hold on to her and do all the work myself, but I have so many other projects that take precedence. Otherwise she is accident free. On Jun-16-18 at 20:59:09 PDT, seller added the following information: FAQ: Q: Do you know what packages it comes with?A: Sport and Touring. The Touring package was the floorboard/firewall insulation, leather seats, power windows/locks. Q: What was the reason for the transmission rebuild?A: Because in 2015 the clutch/flywheel assembly experienced a catastrophic failure that caused the vehicle to become immovable. This was under normal driving conditions and happened spontaneously. The mechanic that rebuilt it said that the piston in the slave cylinder was launched into the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate assembly effectively welding them together. He claimed that this could not have caused by anything other than a mechanical defect. The rebuild resulted in a beautifully responsive transmission and has not given me any grief since. Q: Do you have the title?A: Yes. Q: Can I have pictures of the interior and engine? A: Sure, just DM me for my cell phone number, and I will send you all the pictures you want. Q: Are the yellow striped painted on?A: No, they are vinyl. Being made of plastic, however, has caused them to take the brunt of the sun damage. Q: Is the sun damage to the paint, and where is most of the damage? A: No, the sun damage is to the clear coat, and distinctly not to the paint. For the most part, the paint looks good. The damage is limited to the trunk hatch and the portion of the roller bar that is behind the main cabin. Q: Is there any other damage to the car? A: No, the car is actually exceptionally mechanically sound, all of the damage is limited to the cosmetics of the vehicle. Q: Does the AC work?A: Yes, and I just had it recharged. Q: Do you have maintenance records? A: Unfortunately not, I am active duty military, and it would appear that all/most of the paper work for the lotus has been lost in one of the many moves I have undergone in the last 5 years. However, I would be happy to put you in touch with the shop that did her 60k and have them tell you what they normally do. Q: Is there anything else I should know? A: The rear tires are new, the front tires are close to needing to be replaced. The brake rotors and pads have been replaced recently, and all the fluids have been checked and topped off as necessary. All of this was done at her 60k maintenance. Her engine is a little dirty, but nothing a little bit of TLC couldn't fix. Q: Can I call you to ask more questions? A: Sure, email me and ask me for my phone number.
