I bought this car in 2002. It was a company car and all service was done by Cadillac mechanics. Most of the mileage was freeway driving. The car was kept in a heated garage at home and a heated garage where I worked. I took extra special care of this car and it has served me well. I bought a 2001 Eldorado last June and finally parked this car last October. I would take it out once or twice a week but for the most part, it has been stored since last October. About 6 months before I parked it I replaced the alternator, the mufflers and the catalytic converter. Brakes are good, tires are good a/c and heat works but it needs a blower fan for the heat/a/c. I've seen them on EBAY for $60-$70. Access is under the hood. If you know how to do it, it should take about a half hour. My mechanic has replaced it before for me and it took him about 20 minutes. As far as I know, this is the only thing the car really needs.The battery is new, installed a week ago. The car runs great! Takes a quart of oil every 200 miles. Minor leakage. Head gasket replaced at around 250,000 miles. Other issues that do not affect the performance of the car:The information center shows multiple error messages ie: "trunk open" (it's not) "traction control issues", "security system error, car nay not restart (always starts). My mechanic told me that the error messages are sensor issues. He couldn't imagine all sensors going out at the same time and told me that is most likely a main sensor relay, main sensor control module, or fuse issue. It did't affect the driving so I just let it go. I just always clear the messages when I start the car. There is some minor rust. No dents. Never been in an accident. It's a great car and I think it's got another 200,000 miles in it. The car is located in New Berlin Wi. Local pickup only.
