Vehicle Detail
Only selling because my wife no longer likes driving "The Mommy Tank" around town and wants something smaller. This has been a great vehicle for us, very comfortable and reliable. I bought this with plans to make it an overland rig, and although it was already a very reliable vehicle and didn't require most of the work that has been done, as a matter of good measure a lot of the base line service and part replacements were performed to ensure it was ready to make some cross country trips with the family and camping gear without any worries. Here's a list of most of the services that have been performed in the last 5,000 miles The timing belt and water pump were replaced. Rebuilt nearly the entire front and rear suspensions. Repacked front wheel bearings. Replaced heater hose T fittings Replaced nearly all bushings AHC fluid flush. Front and rear brakes. Put an AHC lift on it from japan 4x4. Re indexed the torsion bars. Put new king springs with spacers in the rear. Here's the list of most of the new parts that have been put on in the last 5,000 miles front SPC upper control arms front lower control arms front Toyota CV shafts front inner and outer wheel seals front and rear stabilizer bar end links front and rear stabilizer bar D bushings rear upper and lower control arm bushings rear track bar bushings rear king springs rear slee 30mm spring spacers front and rear japan 4x4 AHC spacers AHC accumulator solenoid valve front passenger AHC sensor timing belt with tensioner and idler pullies water pump crank main seal cam seals thermostat valve cover gaskets serpentine belt spark plugs 295/65R-18 (33 inch) goodyear duratrack tires polyurethane steering rack bushings 1.5 inch slee spidertracks wheel spacers front rotors front and rear brake pads. While this is a straight and clean Lexus that has been well taken care of and never abused do keep in mind that this is a 17 year old SUV, there are bound to be a few random scuffs and dings or rust here and there or general signs of use and wear, but nothing unusual or that someone wouldn't expect on a used vehicle of this age. All power windows, moon roof, door locks, telescoping steering column, heated seats, and power seat adjustments work as they should with no problems. All doors open and close without issue. No fluid leaks. Engine runs great, no issues, codes or check engine lights. Transmission shifts up and down smooth without any issue. Brakes stop like new and are dead silent. My list of other things I would have planned to have done if i we were going this rig is: It still needs a front end alignment, as I haven't had time to get one done since the new SPC upper control arms were put on. It drives fine and straight but it has a little bit of wonder at highway speeds which should be aligned out before any major use. and replace the power antenna and drivers door speaker. As for the lift kit, right now its sitting around 1.5 inches higher than stock but with some simple adjustments to the AHC sensor linkage you can adjust it from stock height to 3 inches above stock height. Its a lot of fun being able to adjust your static ride height so easily with just a 10mm wrench, and still have the added benefit of lowering 2 inches below, and raising 2 inches above the static ride height with the push of the AHC button on the center console. As well as being able to adjust the shocks between ultra soft and comfortable to sport mode with the turn of a dial. I'm glad that I kept the AHC system instead of just putting a standard lift kit on because it still rides so smooth and has so much more versatility than a standard lift kit. With that said, the AHC system is fully functional on this vehicle, all the pressures are within spec and it has 10 graduations on the AHC reservoir moving between heights. Also with the upgraded king springs in the rear, it can handle all of our camping gear and fully loaded bike rack without any sagging or overloading, empty or fully loaded it always rides level. Its definitely a head turner as you don't see many lifted Lexus all that often, we get complements almost every time we take it out. I'm kinda bummed out that the wife wants to sell this after all the money spent, work done and new parts, but as any happily married man can tell you, life is better if you keep the wife happy.
