This car was on the road until March 2018 when it was involved in a minor incident wherein it was run off the road into a ditch and suffered some damage to the front and both rocker panels. The radiator and A/C condenser were breached and ruined. We elected to replace the vehicle with a newer model rather than repair it. It ran well until that point, and we have owned the car for the last 15,000 miles, during which we have performed regular maintenance and always used high-quality synthetic oil in the engine. The engine starts, idles smoothly, and the transmission shifts into gear, but the vehicle cannot be driven any significant distance due to the lack of a functional coolant system. No overheating or engine damage resulted from the coolant loss. The timing belt was replaced in the last 10,000 miles. The tires have roughly one-half tread remaining. The car will need some mechanical and body work before it can be returned to service; or alternatively, it could be used as a parts car. Other known issues: -One hubcap missing. -Headlights knocked loose from sockets. -Passenger-side interior door handle cracked. -Vinyl sheeting separating from top inside of driver's door. -Aftermarket radio does not work correctly. -Exterior radio antenna mast broken. -Airbag light illuminates continuously (we are told this is an obscure computer issue.) -Headliner missing. -Tear on back of driver's-side seat. -Lid on front armrest has cracked hinge and latch is missing. -Sticky-gooey deterioration of dashboard plastic in places due to age. -A/C currently inoperative due to breached system (compressor was replaced 10,000 miles ago.) -Extensive UV damage to exterior paint (fading and chalking.) >>This vehicle is not involved in the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal.<< -The item is correctly described to the best of the seller's knowledge; however, it is impossible to anticipate every fault or defect.
