Vehicle Detail
1998 Z28. I am the original owner. The car body is in excellent conditionPros:ground effects (This is a rare option)MSI AirlidSLP cold air intakeMass air flow sensor upgraded85mm throttle bodyhypertech programmed including shift points (Was getting 27 MPG highway/20 in city)strut tower braceKYB adjustable shocks and strutsMagnaflow quad tip cat back exhaust systemSub frame connectorslakewood traction control system Basically most of anything that would need replaced has been replaced within the last 5 years.12,000 watt stereo system with 18 speakers. (Audio Frog Mids and Highs). The entire car body was fitted with sound matting to maximize sound quality and minimize the amount the car was actually shaken. I turned it up a handful of times because quite honestly, it is way too much to listen to on the way to work. The sub woofers are 8 inch sub woofers in a custom ported box, built to take advantage of the hatch, and pack a vicious punch: I have tested it at 145dB. This is that system u see at the car audio shows where people stare in wonder how you got that much sound out of the speakers. The MS8 digital processor allows you to adjust the system to a comfortable 130dB for daily listening, then crank up the bass to access the true power of the system. There is a secondary battery and large capacitors all built into hidden compartents. When I tested the system at a car audio shop with my Termlab Magnum meter, the audio store manager stared in shock that I played Pink Floyd Delicate Sound of Thunder and held a bass note for over 1 minute with no flaws. Most systems start to fluctuate the bass note from strong to weak as the power runs dry. This system is built to handle anything you want to throw at it. Get your earplugs and earmuffs ready, you will need them in this gas powered stereo. The mids and highs amps are in racks and inside the t-top compartment and are designed to run with little air flow. This is truly a competition audio system. Add an engine and you have something to behold that turns eyes. This stereo msrp is almost 20,000 dollars. Cons:Needs engine, block was hydro-locked and cracked, This is a salvage title as a result of engine damage. The car and cabin are fine. There is a crack in the dashboard as most of these models get cracks from heat even when using sun visors. It is what it is. You are getting something worth a lot more than I am asking for. Bottom line If I were to build an engine for it, Id do a 427 or a 454 and at that point, you can buy a newer camaro. bottom line, a LS1 build will put you in a very comfortable 400 Plus HP range in a body that is built to handle it. It is a good car that I have turned every mile on. It was never raced but it was ran as it was built to run. The irony is I never raced it but water got into the cold air intake and cracked the block, not hard running. I am told there is an insert that would have avoided this. I lived and learned. This was my baby for 20 years and she was treated with respect. My next project will be a new camaro. My loss your gain. You want a racecar against newer camaros, well, this may not be the best option anyway. On Jun-01-18 at 21:57:09 PDT, seller added the following information: 1998 Z28. I am the original owner.
