Vehicle Detail
2004 R1150RT - Siena Red To many familiar with BMW's R1150 series this is the most desireable year, model and color... it is certainly my favorite, and I've had many. Key are the dual plug heads and proper fuel injection mapping which make all the difference in the world from prior models. I bought this as a low mileage back-up to my primary 2004 RT just in case anything happened to it. I completely went through it after purchase and marveled at how pristine it was.... quite literally like new. Life's priorities have changed and I need to make space in the garage so I'm letting her go. I bought it from the second owner who had multiple bikes and only used it occasionally for two-up long distance riding, similiar story with the first owner.... thus the low miles. I've owned and ridden BMW's for at least 30 years and maintain/repair them myself. I'm a trained aircraft mechanic specializing in turbine engines and know my way around the shop... my motorcycles reflect that. Key features on the bike when I purchased it last year:- Metal fuel line quick disconnects- Signal Minder self-canceling turn signal module- Throttle meister throttle lock- New battery I've added:- Extended hub clutch disc which engages full length of gearbox input splines- 2nd load relay for ignition coils - provides better starts and idling - New tires and metal valve stems- Spiegler stainless steel braided brake lines - EV14 (R1200) fuel injectors Additionally I've completed the entire 12K service including the complete brake and clutch system flush as well as valve/rocker end play adjustment. The only cosmetic blemish is on the right side fairing where the decal had been removed in order to address some scratches (buff-out attempt I believe). I'll let the next owner address that if they care to. This is a great opportunity to acquire a beautiful, low mileage, well sorted 1150RT.
