Bids will NOT be accepted unless you have prior purchases and positive feedback.05/29/18: Well I had my second scammer. The first one (maverick3691_7) won the auction but didn't pay. The second one was today (knatterkarl) and wanted me to front the shipping charges by money order and then supposedly I would get the shipping charges plus my asking price back. Even sent me a PayPal e-mail. People amaze me and make me wonder what are we coming to??? Again, legitimate and honest people only. I am a retired cop and I will prosecute. Now to the auction info:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up for auction is a classic 1984 Honda Nighthawk 650cc motorcycle with 6,183 actual miles. For a motorcycle which is 34 years old, it has amazingly low miles on it and is in good condition. It has enclosed shaft drive (no chain or belt), dual front disc brakes, mag wheels, oil cooler, fuel gauge, 6-speed overdrive transmission, in-line 4-cylinder engine, electric start, and electronic ignition. Paint is original and still shines nicely. The bike starts, runs and shifts very smoothly. All switches and lights are operational. A Clymer repair manual will also be included.I wish I could tell you everything on the motorcycle is in showroom condition, but obviously that would be an exaggeration. Here are the items that are flawed:Front and rear tires have good tread and show no major cracking, but they are old and I would recommend they be replaced.There is a small dent on the right side of the fuel tank. I tried to show it in the pictures, but it is hard to see.The front fender is scratched and has been touched up with touch-up paint. The gas tank also has a scratch on it which has touch-up paint on it. There is only 1 key to the motorcycle.Chrome isn't perfectFront fork seeps a little fork oil, but is minimal and hardly noticeable. I had the seal replaced once, but after awhile they started to seep again.Battery is a couple years old. The Walmart batteries I buy usually last around 3 years.The motorcycle has a clear Illinois title. The ignition key also unlocks the stock locking gas cap. The reason I am selling the bike is due to the fact that I just don't ride it enough and it needs to be used.The winning bidder will need to post a $300 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours after the end of the auction. The balance will need to be paid either prior to or at the time the motorcycle is picked up.Shipping, if needed, will be the sole responsibility of the buyer; however, I will help load the motorcycle onto a trailer or truck. The motorcycle will need to be picked-up within 2-weeks after the end of the auction or deposit will be forfeited (unless other arrangements are agreed to in advance).Final payment will need to be in the form of cash, or a verifiable bank draft/cashier's check. The motorcycle will be sold with no warranty, expressed or implied, and the sale will be final upon transfer of title (i.e.: no returns).I have tried to be complete in my description, but I have probably overlooked something.
