Vehicle Detail

TO THE OBSERVANT AMONG YOU: I have been lowering the BIN price by 50. per day, and there are two days left.....snooze and lose? (about 1000 viewers so far?) "BIN and Reserve" are now close to looking like twins. Act accordingly! Yes, I Have receipts for almost all the new parts, all within the last 20 months. Folder goes with car along with all books/manuals. 1972 MG Midget Replica-Racer. I wanted a streetable copy of the Spridgets I had raced in RMVR back in the day. (raced a 62 midget, a 59 Bugeye and a 72 midget over 9 years)I wanted it to look and sound like my old racer (#43) and hold the road just as well, but be much more civilized and usable.Started with an unrusted street car in black that runs quite well. NEW parts: radiator, hoses-belts, clutch-PP-TO bearing, HO alternator (60 amp), Weber down-draft carb, Blackjack header, new exhaust tubing out to the back, polished alum VC, 4 tires, Rear wheel cyls, Frt wheel tapered bearing conversion, calipers, pads-shoes, seats, roll-bar, Robbins top, full set white instruments, stainless gas tank, black-bullet racing mirrors, PL700 tripod headlights w/own relay, fuel pump, all rubber brake/clutchlines, wiring harness (5 fuses), tailight assemblies (2) and parklite assemblies (2), steering wheel, spun alum wheel covers, sport coil, rebuilt distributor, plugs, upgraded all fluids with synthetics, Battery hold-down bar and bracketing and More..... When I was racing Spridgets I used Vega GT rims (6-inches wide) and put on spun-aluminum wheel covers, what a great "look" so you also get 4 new alum-wheel covers still in boxes should you want to change the "look" of the car from time-to-time. REBUILT parts: seven Vega (Stock-5-inch) rims (blasted-primed-painted), anti-roll bar, filler cap, previous owner rebuilt clutch and brake master with fittings, I have all the bits to put the wipers back on, and the horn, and the heater as well. Quite a bit of new and used parts (in boxes) too numerous to cover here. I also have most of the interior panels (good condition)[ in black, the front bumper went missing but the brackets are there and perfect. Saw a pic in an English car mag with the rear bumperetts from a bugeye fitted (horizontally) to the front of a midget, looked really great and echoes the current split bumper on the Midget. The car starts/runs/shifts well, has clear Colorado title in my name, . Car still needs: more bleeding of brake/clutch system,, installation of choke cable and bonnet release cable (both supplied), spare-tire (rim supplied), hand-brake (supplied), bolt seats in place using the mounting-kits (supplied), balance the new tires (supplied), It needs a bit of finishing but is remarkably close with very good parts.I will assist in loading with your carrier. At my age (77 this May) I creak too much when getting in or under the car anymore, time to get something with an automatic and AC :) NOTE: for the fellow who asked about the bumper... no front bumper but the mounts are there and pristine. also have the front-fender marker lite assemblies, equally pristine. Also found the matching headresrs for the seats, Looked at the shelves this AM and found: the MG Waxoyl-kit for spraying inside frame rails and fender-lips and such, keeps an unrusted car FREE of rust, includes the long wand and extra cans of waxoyl,( unused). also found the original instruments seemingly in good cond in ziplock bags, also found the original (and functional) KD Jack supplied by MG that lifts the entire side of the MG with ease. also found the bag of 16 new "standard" lugnuts (ie not chrome like the ones on the car now). also an extra VC-gasket new.. also new 160-degree therostat with gasket, and those hits just keep on coming.. .Will start looking into the other boxes of MG "stuff" before the ad-ends and keep updating this addendum. I overbought (or double-bought) on a lot of MG stuff. :) NOTE: Just completed final trip through the MG stuff on the shelves...found Inside door handles, 8 books/manuals (including David Vizards DIY book), various Rubber-trim items including tailight/top fitings), a Lowering kit (from Moss) that drops the front 3/4 of an inch for better handling, a full set of Bulbs, a stainless tailpipe tip and an excellent grille + its fittings.. and I think thats it! Oops, while viewing all the MG stuffboxed up... saw the media blasted center console hanging from the rafters. It has the radio blockoff plate with the MG logo. Not over till the fat lady sings,............... just now she did! NOTE: clicked on the "display this Q-A" on ad....is not happeng, not helpful. five questions so far.. NOTE: to the lone Brit who inquired, yes I will ship to the UK, understanding that shipping cost/arrangements are your responsiblity. I can hold the car for 10 days or so after sale
